SEDRO-WOOLLEY — Several hundred Sedro-Woolley High School students walked out of class Friday to protest violent actions by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.

Has the recent 'walk off' anti ICE swayed your vote? How is it we want to teach our children respect for the law while letting schools be ok with this. If the kids were all in agreement should we do away with the rules and officers at the schools? Why not instead turn this into a teaching opportunity? Debate it in school. You will never convince me this is something the kids did all on their own without school and teacher involvement. I know from what I have heard this nonsense has helped many vote no.

Sedro Woolley School Board Watchdog Group doesn't allow pages to join but if anyone is in that group can you share the videos of the speakers from last night's meeting please?

Should we be funding improvements to the sports programs before improvements on student's education? Let's first pull up grades so that majority of students are succeeding at grade level. So that each student is given the opportunity to earn a living once they graduate by being able to read, do math etc. Pushing students out at graduation without truly being educated is not a great way to start out.

EPO levy of $66.3 million over 4 years helps fund annual salaries and benefits of about $83 million. Why in the hell is a district like SWSD having costs this high just for salaries and benefits? Sports programs $7 million over 4 years. These costs are outrageous.

Why are the other issues not addressed? School repairs, sagging foundations, over half the students are not at grade level translating they are failing yet still moved on to the next grade.
