Letters I'd Send Back

Letters I'd Send Back What would you say to your younger self? Honest. Heartfelt. Healing.

Ever notice how sometimes the thing that finally comes out of us… isn’t really about today?

Sometimes it’s exhaustion. Discouragement. Carrying too much for too long. Sometimes we’re pouring into everybody else while quietly running on empty ourselves.

This week’s Letter is a reminder to pay attention to what’s filling your tank—because eventually, whatever’s in us spills onto the people we love.

And sometimes? Refilling your tank looks a lot less dramatic than we think. A prayer. A friend. A moment to breathe. Someone who listens.

What helps refill *your* tank when life gets heavy? ❤️

Marriage changes people.

Sometimes for the worse.
Sometimes for the better.
And sometimes… so slowly that you don’t even realize it’s happening.

In this conversation, my friend shares something she wishes she understood sooner—and one moment in her life that quietly changed the way she saw marriage, expectations, grace, and herself.

There was one unexpected moment before filming that made me hear this whole story differently.

I think a lot of us, married or not, will recognize pieces of ourselves in this one.

Have you ever looked back and realized life softened you in ways younger-you never expected?

Before we have children, most of us think we already know exactly what kind of parents we’re going to be.

Then reality walks in wearing a diaper and completely rearranges the plan. 😄

This Letter is about expectations, authority, boundaries, and the difference between leading with wisdom versus trying to control everything perfectly.

Kids need structure. They also need security. And sometimes parents need the humility to admit that real life doesn’t always follow the plan.

What’s something parenting taught you that you never expected?

A lot of wisdom gets passed down in ordinary moments.

Not every lesson comes from a lecture.
Sometimes it comes from listening at the dinner table while someone older and wiser talks about life.

Funny how much we understand our parents after we become adults ourselves.

Happy Mother’s Day to the women who quietly shaped people without always realizing the impact they had. 💙

There’s a difference between giving kids something to watch and giving them something to belong to.

Some of the best memories aren’t expensive trips or perfectly planned activities. Sometimes it’s just working together, being included, and knowing you mattered to the people around you.

I think a lot of confidence is built quietly like that.

This week’s Letter is about responsibility, contribution, and why helping matters more than we sometimes realize.

What’s something you helped with growing up that taught you responsibility? 👇

Some days you get it right.
Some days you don’t.

Grace covers both… but it doesn’t mean we stay the same.

“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”
— 2 Corinthians 12:9

What’s one moment that changed how you show up now?

04/22/2026

Life paused me this week. I’ll be back soon. Thank you for your understanding.

Sometimes parenting doesn’t feel hard because you’re doing it wrong…
it feels hard because you’re doing it alone.

Some people deal with uncertainty by bracing for the worst.
Almost like if you expect it… it won’t hit as hard.

That’s never worked for me.

It doesn’t make me feel prepared.
It just makes me feel… heavy.

There’s a difference between being realistic
and carrying something that you shouldn't have to carry.

“Work as though it all depends on you. Pray as though it all depends on God.”

📖 “Be careful for nothing…” — Philippians 4:6–7 (KJV)

Where do you land on this?
Do you try to prepare for everything… or let some things go?

04/02/2026

Ever feel like you’re trying to fix everything at once… and somehow nothing is actually getting better?

Sometimes it’s not about adding more effort.

Sometimes it’s about letting something go so the right things can come back to life.
