UPDATE: Michael Thorson in Custody

Michael Thorson is now in custody after voluntarily turning himself in at the Shawano County Sheriff's Office on Sunday.

We also want to sincerely thank the public for their continued support and involvement. Your efforts in sharing our previous posts and spreading the word played a significant role in putting pressure on Thorson and ultimately leading to his decision to turn himself in.

We want to take a moment to highlight the importance of accurate and timely witness information. While we previously believed Thorson was clean shaven with a short haircut, he clearly still had longer hair and facial hair at the time of his arrest. Reliable descriptions are critical to our efforts, and we encourage anyone providing tips to share as much detail as possible, as close to the time of the sighting as they can.

From here, our agency will work alongside surrounding jurisdictions and begin speaking with Thorson regarding his activities over the past couple of weeks.
