I have to admit that I am struggling to keep up with *all this* - anyone else? It's in times like these - when I feel paralyzed by the rapid news cycle, N***s showing up in my own city, and so much more devastation - that I cry out for justice and cling to the hope of buckets of God's goodness poured out.

How are you coping with it all these days?

He is risen. The stone is rolled away. Love has outlived empire.

Resurrection doesn’t erase the suffering—it transforms it.

This Easter, we proclaim not just that Jesus is alive—but that the forces of death (violence, oppression, despair) don’t get the final word.

The tomb was a womb. Something new is being born.

Between death and resurrection, there is only silence.

Holy Saturday holds the grief of what has been lost and the aching hope that something more might still rise.

If you're waiting in the dark this year—grieving democracy, grieving faith communities, grieving personal loss—you’re not alone.

God is here too.

"Like the lynching tree in America, the cross in the time of Jesus was the most 'barbaric form of ex*****on of the utmost cruelty,' the absolute opposite of human value systems. It turned reason upside down." - James H. Cone, from The Cross and The Lynching Tree

Good Friday isn’t just a day of mourning—it’s a confrontation with the violence of empire, the failure of religious leaders, and the God who chose to stand with the crucified.

In a country where ex*****ons still happen, where the oppressed are silenced, where injustice is codified—the cross isn’t past tense.

We remember. We grieve. We resist.

Before the betrayal, before the cross—He knelt and washed feet.

Maundy Thursday is about sacred service, fierce love, and communion that includes even the one who will betray.

In 2025, when division runs deep and fear shapes policy, this table calls us back to a love that includes, a grace that disarms, and a justice that begins with humility.

May we receive Christ not just in bread and cup—but in the call to wash feet, share power, and break bread with the ones we struggle to love.

Judas was not a stranger to Jesus. He shared bread with Him, laughed with Him, followed Him.

But proximity to holiness is not the same as participation in love.

Spy Wednesday invites us to examine our own complicity. In a world of performative faith, are we quietly betraying the gospel for comfort, for control, for coins?

In the aftermath of flipping tables, Jesus is questioned by the authorities. They demand to know who gave Him the right.

His authority came not from empire but from God.

This Holy Tuesday, we remember: resistance will be challenged. Power does not yield easily. But when you are rooted in love, truth, and liberation—you don't need to justify your presence.

You are the resistance.

He overturned tables, not just for the chaos of it—but because people were being exploited in God's name.

Holy Monday calls us to ask: What temples need cleansing in our time?

In a nation where injustice is cloaked in religion, Jesus still walks in with righteous anger and clear eyes. He disrupts systems that profit from pain. He withers what bears no fruit.

And he asks: Where is your worship leading you?
