Let’s us introduce you to another one of our amazing 2025 SFF Competition Judges:

David Coury is Professor of Humanities, Modern Languages and Global Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. He is also the founder and director of the Green Bay Film Society, which is celebrating its 25th season of international film program at the Neville Public Museum in Green Bay.

Meet another one of our super talented 2025 SFF Competition Judges:

Carlen May-Mann (they/she) is a Brooklyn-based writer and director of bold, humanistic horror and drama films. They have completed two shorts: THE RAT (Sundance, Champs-Elysees Film Festival, Palm Springs ShortFest) and ROMANCE PACKAGE FOR TWO (Palm Springs ShortFest, NewFest, Florida Film Festival). Carlen is a Sundance Feature Films Program fellow two times over, having participated in the Screenwriters Intensive and Women at Sundance Financing and Strategy Intensive with their horror/coming-of-age script STRAWBERRY SUMMER, which also received support from Cinereach. They are currently developing FROM YOUR EYES TO MINE, a ghost story set in her hometown of Laguna Beach, CA. Their work has been featured in Indiewire and more.

Meet one of our 2025 SFF Judges: Jim Miller!

Jim Miller is a non-award winning Director (“My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic”, “Johnny Test” (2021) & “Strawberry Shortcake”) and Storyboard Artist (“Ed, Edd n’ Eddy”, “Kid Vs. Kat”) who has worked in the animation industry for over the past 25 years. He enjoys comic books, comedy and watching movies. Jim lives in Vancouver, BC Canada with his partner and too many pets.
