Filming for a locally-produced project will be taking place at the intersection of Pike Street and Bridge Street this evening. Please be aware of the potentially heavy activity in this area of downtown, and consider using an alternative route between 5-7pm. Thank you for your attention to this, as we try to foster the most efficient environment possible for the film crew and our residents. 🎥🎬😁

⭐️ CAST SPOTLIGHT ⭐️

“The Sweater” is just weeks away from production! While everyone eagerly awaits for filming to begin, we’d like to introduce you to our talented cast members who will bring this story to life!

Autumn Rae (Jane McQueen) is a young actor and singer from West Virginia who has a strong foundation in live performance and a deep love for storytelling. Relatively new to film, but a part of the performing arts for the past decade, she brings authenticity, emotion, and passion into every role she is given. In the summer of 2025, she landed her first professional contract with Theatre West Virginia, an outdoor theatre known for showcasing West Virginia’s history. Besides theatre and film, Autumn is also a trained vocalist who has been singing for crowds since a young age.

‼️ CASTING NOTICE ‼️

Double-U Pictures is excited to be partnering with Dalewood Creative and Lost Trail Film & Photo to produce “THE SWEATER,” an upcoming short-film.

Film synopsis: During a post-war celebration, a WWI soldier has an unlikely encounter with a mysterious figure.

We are in search of background actors to portray local citizens and dance attendees in the film. Filming will take place on Sunday, March 1, 2026 in Shinnston, West Virginia.

Please note that your involvement in the film will be as an extra and you will not be compensated (volunteer work only).
