Want to help those affected by the devastating tornado in the Menasha area? Use this link to sign up to volunteer with Samaritan Purse’s disaster relief team ⛈️

As our community continues to recover from yesterday's devastating tornado, please continue to pray for everyone who has been impacted, including families who have lost homes, those facing uncertainty, first responders, utility crews, volunteers, and all those working tirelessly to help.

We're grateful to once again partner with Samaritan's Purse as they respond to this disaster in our community.

Shiocton Staff, Families, and Community,

After consulting with our local law enforcement and the county, the School District of Shiocton, SCCC, and Fitness Center will be closed tomorrow (Thursday, April 16th) and Friday, April 17th. The building is inaccessible, the river has not crested yet, roads are impassable, and there is potential for more rain to come. I want to give you as much time as possible to plan for the rest of the week in this unprecedented situation.

The next two days will be No School Days, not Digital Learning Days. While we have met our number of inclement weather days, I do not feel right calling for Digital Learning Days while our community goes through this flooding. I'd rather you focus on your loved ones and homes than an assignment. We will figure out how to address our days and hours after we come back together.

Based on the level of water in the village and concerns of travel throughout the district, the School District and SCCC are closed (no DLD) today (Wednesday, April 15th, 2026).

Staff and students are not to report with the condition of the roads and access to the building. This could change for afternoon/evening based on the condition of the streets.
