Stan Czekay and John Pelligrino, Jr hit the Resor Wreck over the weekend for a couple of bluefin, while loading up the box with sea bass at another location before heading home aboard the Tin Knocker. While more “fish box” size bluefin are showing up on the midrange grounds now, some of the very best eating sea bass are still in play as well off the Jersey Coast for another two weeks until the summer regulatory doldrums take effect.

CAPE COD CANAL CLOSED TO COMMERCIAL FISHING

In an effort to simplify enforcement, reduce crowding and to return the area to its recreational purposes, an emergency regulation has been adopted which prohibits commercial fishing for striped bass from the banks of the Cape Cod Canal.

In a rather bold but expected move, the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries has closed the Cape Cod Canal to commercial striped bass fishing.

Our goal is to raise as much money as we can for the fantastic Luders family.

For those of you who don't know.. Unfortunately, one of our beloved workers, Luders Estimable, lost his life last week fighting to overcome the virus. He leaves behind him a legacy that will be carried on by each of us and his wonderful family.
Luders was a huge part of the manufacturing of boats here at Steiger Craft. He was a genuinely kind man and hard worker who worked directly with Bill. He moved to the United States just over four years ago to take a job working at Steiger Craft. We are truly distraught to lose him and to see him go in this way.
He left behind six beautiful daughters, a lovely wife, and the rest of the Steiger family. We are devastated because of this loss, and from the bottom of our hearts, we hope you can contribute to his family in any way you can. Thank you.
"Luders Estimable lost his battle with the Covid-19 Corona Virus; his family is emotionally spent and financially struggling and will be even more as he was the primary breadwinner in the family."

$20 RAFFLE TICKET, MORE TICKETS = MORE CHANCES TO WIN.
