The Giacalone Brothers first arrived in Shreveport in 1977 from Palermo, Sicily, joining their cousins at the popular Firenze Restaurant. Locals quickly fell in love with the authentic flavors, fresh breads, and wines that reminded so many of Northern Italy. Those early years shaped the future of Italian dining in Shreveport.
