Last night, I had the honor of being invited to perform at the prestigious Knights of Rizal, Abu Dhabi Chapter, where I proudly played the national anthems of the UAE and the Philippines live.

It was an unforgettable experience, surrounded by distinguished delegates, diplomats, and community leaders, all gathered to celebrate unity and shared values.

What made the event particularly significant for me was hearing the story of Dr. Jose Rizal, our national hero. As a member of the younger generation, I realized how little I knew about his legacy, and this opportunity to learn about his contributions to our nation’s history felt both inspiring and deeply important.

My heartfelt thanks go to Las Damas de Rizal, Abu Dhabi President, Dra. Aileen Villanueva, and KOR Area Commander (ME-AR), Dr. Joey Villanueva, for their gracious invitation and for making this event truly special.

Laurence Anthony De Guzman, 13 yrs old who was first diagnosed with autism at the age of 3. A Non Verbal Child who turns out to be an extraordinary child of his case. For years, his parents did endless research and had tried so many ways with many bumps along the way---including when they thought his vocabulary is getting lesser as he hardly spoke to them but they never gave up. Until they tried to introduce music therapy from home. Only at the age of 9, he started communicating and engaging with everyone when he started using the words from the songs his singing, his thought process had sped up.

Highlights: Perfect pitch. He has the ability to identify a tone without any reference, out of any tonal context. It’s an ability and not all the singers or musician has it. These are known musicians who have perfect pitch Barbara Streisand, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinantra, Mozart, Beethoven, YANI, Leonard Beinstein, Mariah Carey and a lot more.

Accomplishments: 

He’s been featured at Tag 91.9, ImageNation Digital Platform, TFC Filipino Channel and the Filipino Times.
