Muddy Boots - By Brenna Abernathy
With muddy boots
And gleaming eyes,
You’ll never know
How fast time flies.
One day your small
With a wobbly walk,
Now you run up hills,
Now you know how to talk.
So full of life,
So full of fire,
As you laugh and swing
In our old tree tire.
You splash through puddles,
You dig in the dirt.
It’s impossible for you
To have a clean shirt.
But as you grow
I know I’ll miss,
The wild little boy
I just can’t help but to kiss.
So stay wild,
Stay free,
Dance around like a bee,
And never forget
How much you mean to me 💛
A little poem I wrote for my boys 🐝🌻
