Today we laid to rest our friend, compadre, and comrade, SFC Ismael Vera. It was a beautiful service, and seeing how many of his fellow soldiers were present was a true testament to the leader and the man he was.

During the ceremony, they shared the meaning of the three volleys fired: Duty, Honor, and Country. Our dear friend lived and led by these three attributes.

We will miss his calm spirit, his playfulness, and his smile. May he rest in peace and be reunited with Darcy.

Thank you to all who came and paid their respects. Please continue to keep his family and friends in your prayers, that they may find comfort and peace in the loving memories they hold of him. 🇺🇸❤️🙏

Funeral arrangements for SFC Vera have been finalized:
Rosary will be recited at Sawyer George Funeral Home on Sunday, February 8th, at 7pm.

Funeral Mass will be held on Monday February 9th at 8:30am at St. Peter Prince of the Apostle Catholic Church, followed by burial at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 10am.

With heavy hearts, we share the news that SFC Vera has passed away. We ask that you please keep SFC Ramos and his family in your prayers, as they lovingly and faithfully walked with him throughout this difficult journey.

We are deeply grateful for all the prayers and support that have been offered. May God grant comfort and strength to all who mourn his loss.

We take comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with the love of his life, Darcy. 🙏❤️

This morning, we humbly ask that you lift SFC Ismael Vera up in prayer. He had numerous health issues and, unfortunately, required emergency surgery last night. SFC Ramos and his family have been by his side. The next 48 hours are crucial. We will share updates as soon as possible. All prayers are gratefully received.🙏🙏❤️
