Try this beginner aerial silks drop from a knot to test your strength and trust! This backwards drop is hands-free and requires you to climb above your knot to get two loops around your legs. The important thing here is to make sure your legs are together and piked when you are dropping. Putting your arms in a T will catch you on the way down!

Try this 15-minute full body aerial workout that you can do in an aerial silks or hammock! Limited height is needed for this quick body blast.

Dragonfly is one of the first aerial poses we recommend learning when starting aerial silks. It helps you navigate the silk, build shoulder mobility and strength, and sets you up for a handful of beginner drops. This move is accessible from the ground (no climb needed!) and can also be done from an aerial sling/hammock.

We’re so excited to *finally* announce that Cirka is launching a progressive online training platform for aerialists. We have been working on building dozens of video tutorials together that we are so excited to share with you all. Our goal is to make learning aerial accessible to all, with progressive learning, expert coaching and support every step of the way!

What does this mean for Cirka’s Performance Group?
We’re still performing and doing more creative and elaborate things than ever! Our partner gym is going to be managing all performances and try-it’s moving forward so we can focus on online education!

This collaboration is put together by .inthesky and .inthesky. We are so excited to watch it grow and to help you all expand your aerial knowledge and craft.

Huzzah! We loved sharing this historic afternoon with all of you at the Siouxland Renaissance Assoc. and Festival. We loved giving so many fairies wings to fly on the Wizard tower.

We’ll be back out again tomorrow with South Dakota Aerial & Arts teaching you flying lessons and performing aerial for you.
