A former historic John Deere factory building has turned into a Sioux Falls downtown staple, Icon Event Hall + Lounge and DaDa Gastropub.

The “iconic” business opened in 2012 on St. Patrick’s Day as ICON Event Hall + Lounge, and soon became a go-to spot in the bar and lounge area for craft cocktails and local music, and for weddings, fundraisers, and other events in the events space.

What is known today as McCrory Gardens began on the horticulture research grounds on campus proper in 1962, at what was then known as South Dakota State College. With growth and expansion of programs on campus proper, the research gardens were relocated to the present day site in 1966, at what by that time had become South Dakota State University. 🌻
