Easter:

"When Simon Peter arrived after him,
he went into the tomb and saw the burial cloths there,
and the cloth that had covered his head,
not with the burial cloths but rolled up in a separate place.
Then the other disciple also went in,
the one who had arrived at the tomb first,
and he saw and believed."

Holy Saturday

"They found the stone rolled away from the tomb;
but when they entered,
they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
While they were puzzling over this, behold,
two men in dazzling garments appeared to them.
They were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground.
They said to them,
“Why do you seek the living one among the dead?
He is not here, but he has been raised."

Good Friday

"They took the body of Jesus
and bound it with burial cloths along with the spices,
according to the Jewish burial custom.
Now in the place where he had been crucified there was a garden,
and in the garden a new tomb, in which no one had yet been buried.
So they laid Jesus there because of the Jewish preparation day;
for the tomb was close by."

Scenes from Tuesday's Chrism Mass at the Cathedral of Christ the King.

At the Mass, Archbishop Gregory J. Hartmayer, OFM Conv., blessed the oil of the sick and the oil of the catechumens used in parishes in the Archdiocese of Atlanta.

It is also when the archbishop speaks "to the priests about the priestly anointing, urging the priests to be faithful in fulfilling their office and inviting them to renew publicly their priestly promises," according to a document from the US Conference of Catholic Bishops.

Notre Dame Cathedral truss exhibit visits Atlanta - Georgia Bulletin

On April 15, 2019, a fire engulfed the iconic Notre Dame Cathedral.

Amid the devastation of the fire, Handshouse Studio created a project to educate people and to support its rebuilding. The nonprofit took on the challenge of rebuilding truss #6, that supported the cathedral’s roof prior to the fire for hundreds of years.

“By recreating lost historic objects by hand, we’re exploring who made the object, how they made it, why, what materials they used, what tools they were using,” said Marie Brown, executive director of the nonprofit “And in that process, there’s so much learned.”

Seeking the spring of living water - Georgia Bulletin

https://georgiabulletin.org/commentary/2022/04/seeking-the-spring-of-living-water/ "Some people pursue riches and power, while others chase beauty and youth. Everything we thirst for on earth ultimately fails us. Beauty fades, riches disappoint, power corrupts. Promises are broken and gentle hearts are crushed," writes Lorraine Murray.

When my sister and I were toddlers, we played in a courtyard at the back of the family’s brownstone. Our mother would look out the window occasionally to make sure we weren’t wreaking havoc, but generally we were left to our own devices.
