Good afternoon, Citizens! 🦀
We have a few exciting updates to share, and things are starting to move quickly behind the scenes at Citizens for Calvert!
First, our website, CitizensForCalvert.org, officially launched last weekend! There you'll find information on upcoming public meetings, our Data Center Community Action Center, organizational updates, and resources related to proposed data center development in Calvert County.
Second, our Articles of Incorporation have officially been approved by the State of Maryland. This is a major milestone in establishing Citizens for Calvert as a nonprofit organization. While there are still a few steps before we are officially official, we are thrilled to be moving forward as a team.
✨We are also tentatively planning our first public meeting for June 25, 2026, and look forward to sharing more details soon.✨
Finally, four members of the Citizens For Calvert Board recently met with legal counsel to discuss ongoing concerns regarding proposed data center development in Calvert County. It was an informative and encouraging conversation, and we are grateful for the time, expertise, and guidance that was provided. We look forward to sharing more on that process in the near future.
None of this would be possible without the support, encouragement, and involvement of residents who care deeply about Calvert County and its future. We have always believed that meaningful change happens when communities come together, and we are very excited about what comes next.

Introducing the Mini Mail Club! 🤏💌📪Because we all need a little happy mail. Because everyone deserves access to original art. Because we need more connection and less noise. Because when you paint a tiny paintings, they practically beg to be shared in a snail mail art club.

Art print clubs aren’t new, and maybe it’s an over-saturated market, but I so deeply enjoy building and curating collections this seems like a natural fit. Plus it allows me a vehicle to share more art with you all at an affordable price point - especially when it feels like everything is getting more expensive.

The June Mini Mail Club theme is East Coast Summer, and I have one more piece to add… stay tuned tomorrow for the final item!
