We have some BIG news to share today, but first we need to give credit where credit is due. 🤍

If you have watched Lil’ Millie’s come together over the last several months, you know this building has gone through a complete transformation. What was once the old First National Bank is now this beautiful little space that we have poured so much into.

And these two guys, Forrest and Jon, had a HUGE part in making it happen.

There were so many times throughout this project that we had an idea and basically said, “Okay… how do we make this happen?” 😂 And somehow, they always figured it out.

They put countless hours into this building and helped us turn what we had pictured in our heads into something even better than we imagined. We are so thankful for their hard work, their patience with all of our ideas and changes 😂, and most of all, for caring about this project like it was their own.

Forrest & Jon — THANK YOU. Seriously. We couldn’t have done this without you guys. 🤍

WE PASSED OUR OPENING INSPECTION TODAY!!! 🎉🍦

Which means Lil’ Millie’s on Main is officially opening Labor Day — Monday, September 7 from 3–9 PM!

I can’t believe we finally get to say that. 🥹

Over the next few days we’ll be sharing our regular weekly hours, introducing you to our amazing team, announcing some giveaways and, of course, showing you our THIRTY… yes, 30 😂… flavors of ice cream! … and this is just to start. We are going to keep adding! 🙌🏼

It’s finally happening, Rockwood. 🤍🍦

NEWS: The Somerset Trust Company has donated $220,000 to the Pennsylvania Highlands Community College Foundation! 🎉

This generous contribution will go directly towards the College's Educational Income Tax Credit (EITC) fund, supporting free three-credit dual enrollment courses for eligible high school students in Cambria and Somerset Counties.

Educational Outreach in its local communities has been a long-standing passion for Somerset Trust Company throughout the years and is something that we hope to carry through in the years to come. With our continued involvement with Pennsylvania’s Education Improvement Tax Credit Program, we were able to commit to providing over $200,000 in funds for the Somerset County Foundation for Higher Education to cover costs of tuition, books, and fees for these early college courses through Allegany College of Maryland. Sean Cook, CEO and President of Somerset Trust Company, is confident about the future of this program. “It’s encouraging to see the recent increase in enrollment, and I hope this motivates students to learn more about the program and consider it in the future." He went on to express his excitement with the continued success of the program and the opportunities it has brought for local students. “The value of a quality education is immeasurable, but the cost of higher education can be intimidating. I’m so glad we can help local students with these expenses so they can leverage our support of the ACM program to further their education at minimal to no cost.”

The key objective of this program is to prepare Somerset County high school students that are looking to pursue early college courses by allowing them to experience college-level classes in smaller, more intimate environments. This helps students become more prepared and gain an advantage in their college journey by providing them with experienced instructors from an accredited institution. These courses also count toward high school graduation requirements, and following graduation, students can apply these credits toward a degree from Allegany College of Maryland or transfer them to another college or university of their choosing as permitted.
