9 years ago, my son, Josh .5 .125, shared this post on Facebook of one of his edited creations. He was only 17. He really enjoyed working with multimedia design. He'd spent long hours on a project! The details were very intentional and... I'd get lost in his explanations but always so impressed by his talent. Miss you son...

In this beautiful place lies the body of my beautiful son. As I visited his grave earlier this week, the first time since the Arizona trip, I felt different. I feel different. I am no longer fighting to live through my loss and without him, but I embrace it this life. It's not how I imagined it. It's not what I would have chosen. And even though I have suffered, and find myself at times in very dark places... there's a deeper trust and inner peace that I'd never know had this not be my walk.

I am learning that God's perfect, good plan is indeed perfectly good! His unfailing love is evident in the storms, the fires, the raging waters, and the darkest valleys and highest mountains. My experience brought me freedom I never realized I needed. A path cleared where there wasn't any before. A path filled with possibilities, opportunities, breakthroughs, and victories.

I may not always know where it will lead, but I know I am not alone. The deeper my trust, the less I need to know of the details. God has me.

This morning during my devotional time, as I was reading through Psalm 119 using the last Bible I gave Joshua, I found he had also read this Psalm and underlined a verse highlighting a reflection for his life. It was such a blessing for me. I pray 🙏 it will also bless those who read this.

One week before Josh's accident, he shared this text with me. After three years, I've finally been able to fulfill one of his last wishes by getting his belongings, this is a powerful testament to the transformative impact of perseverance and faith on our lives. 🙏

This experience has brought me a much needed sense of closure and healing on my journey through grief.
