We were proud to represent South Haven yesterday alongside the LGBTQ+ Commission of Michigan and so many like-minded friends at this incredible event.

The LGBTQ+ Commission of Michigan, appointed by Governor Whitmer, works to build a vital bridge between state government and local LGBTQ+ advocates, and we are grateful for their time, energy, and expertise.

A special thank you to Out On The Lakeshore for hosting and to all the amazing new friends we met throughout the day.

We’re excited to use these new connections to continue strengthening and supporting the South Haven q***r community.

South Haven LGBTQ+ Advocacy is forming a brand new Event Committee (separate from the Pride Committee), and we're looking for fun, motivated volunteers who are passionate about community, education, and LGBTQ+ empowerment. This committee will lead micro-events throughout the year — think creative, engaging, and meaningful experiences that uplift our LGBTQ+ community and allies.

We’re calling on folks with a variety of skills! We're looking for:

✅A coordinator who can help organize and lead the charge

✅A networker who can build strong community partnerships and secure sponsorships

✅A social media powerhouse who can create buzz with amazing videos and graphics

✅A secretary to take meeting minutes and assist with communication

✅And someone to help track finances and keep our efforts sustainable
