Torus power has been a quintessential tool for both my studio as well as my live rigs. Pictured in the yellow box is the AVR-Elite Series Toroidal Isolation Power Transformer which keeps power locked at 120, cleans up dirty power and provides the tube amp and pedals with excellent dynamics. Every venue can change how your rig performs from a power perspective especially gigs outside. For me at least, it can be very distracting. Why doesn't my guitar sound right? This box has changed that allowing me to concentrate more on the music. Really appreciate the crew at Torus Power helping me to get this essential piece of gear into my arsenal. My band thinks I'm crazy for lugging it around but it's totally worth it to me!

Songs From The Green Room, by Pete Kilpatrick

My bandmate Pete Kilpatrick wrote and recorded some great songs from his home studio, most of which were written right when this pandemic started to build in March. Originally, it was supposed to be a stripped down EP but somehow it didn't end up like that! We worked remotely through the early quarantining months trading tracks and ideas back and forth. Especially because of the initial scare at the beginning of this mess we weren't getting together as a band nor did I feel comfortable having people over. This was back in April and May.
It was unsaid but when Pete sent me the tracks I listened in the studio and instantly connected with them. The songs reflected heavily on how some of us were feeling at home, especially with kids wondering what the f**k was happening. Pete wanted to release this batch of songs as soon as possible back in May but unfortunately for timings sake I heard some cool ideas that I wanted to try on a song or two and kind of got carried away. Pete dug it so we went with it. It also felt great to collaborate with another musician feeling super isolated at home and not gigging. I haven't told Pete K this but when I heard Just Be for the first time I was pretty choked up and just so you know the same thing happened last night at our live stream at Rock Rowe.
I'm super proud of this record. It was mix/mastered here and love how it turned out. Pete K is selling the EP on Bandcamp and could use your support. Pete thanks for having me along for the ride, great songs and hope people dig it!

We put up our first ever billboard! Are Guster fans in Omaha seeing it? Maybe? Are Nebraskan motorists confused about what “OMAGAH” is? Definitely!

July 24th marks the official release of our live album with the Omaha Symphony into streaming services like Spotify. Spread the word. We are spreading it with expensive digital billboards off I-80 (72nd st exit) in Omaha. You can spread the word by tagging a Guster fan friend in the comments that oughta check it out. It was an epic show. It’s a wicked album.

Guster

Guster's new live record 'Omagah! goes digital on May 8th. The show was recorded live with the Omaha Symphony last February and were recently mixed + mastered here. Appreciative to be a part of this special night especially considering it's being hailed as one of their best performances of their career. Grateful to work on it! #guster, #Omagah!

In February 2019 we played a show with the Omaha Symphony. Playing with symphonies is always a thrill, but this night was special - an unexpected perfect storm of emotion, performance, and room energy. Band members were openly weeping on stage (maybe just the drummer) and the music felt transcendent. At the end of the night, we took a collective unironic bow to a standing ovation, walked backstage, looked at each other and asked, “What the hell just happened!?”

The evening was recorded! And we are thrilled to announce that OMAGAH! Guster With The Omaha Symphony will be available May 8th, a night we would have otherwise been on stage with the Boston Pops Symphony Orchestra (postponed by COVID-19).

There are two places you can pre-order the digital only album:
https://guster.bandcamp.com
http://www.gustermerch.com (where you can also get an OMAGAH! shirt)

We feel a lot of pride to have a live record that we made 27 years into our career, that we sung and played so well. With much thanks to our fans and the incredible members of the Omaha Symphony, who were also so eager for us to share the music from this special night.

Hi all,

We had planned to release Companion II - at long last - this summer. The extraordinary circumstances we are all living with right now started a conversation amongst ourselves about how to proceed. It was a rare easy decision for us - we decided to put the record out as soon as possible, online, for free.

Other decisions have not been as easy. We initially got together in early 2016 - after a 12 year hiatus - to secretly record 13 tracks in Nashville. 5 of those songs were released as Companion Part I in August, 2017. We played an epic, sold out show in Portland, Maine, and then more or less went back to our "normal" lives.

A little history - When Jeremiah Freed released our first self-titled album in August, 2001, the album cover was our silhouettes filled in with the American Flag. About a month later, September 11th happened. The cover took on a new, hopeful meaning. By November, 2001, we were signed to Universal Republic Records. We were 19-20 years old. We were a band of brothers taking on the world together, inseparable.

Almost 20 years later, Companion Part II may be the last album of recorded music Jeremiah Freed ever releases. We all live separate lives, in different places, with families and careers. It's hard to get all of us in the same room.

The album cover for Companion Part II was shot at the same time as the cover for Companion Part I. Matt thought it might be fitting to use an image of the American Flag, as an homage to our first release - coming full circle for our final release. At the time, we could have never predicted what was to come. In recent weeks, we have argued about whether it was appropriate to follow through with the use of the flag on the cover. In the end, we thought that the image is incredibly hopeful, which is exactly what we all need right now.

So - Here it is. Companion Part II. We are so very proud of this record. We hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed writing and recording it. Please pay what you can, and share far and wide. Take care of yourselves, and each other.

Super proud of how this tune came out. Awesome stuff from Brooke Annibale Was lucky enough to be on the mastering for this one!

More music in the world alert! This is a special one for so many reasons. One of my favorite songs to play live has been transformed a bit, by one of my best friends, Mark Ramsey. When Mark & I met in Pittsburgh a several years ago, we were both already fans of each other's songwriting. We began playing music together shortly after & our mutual respect has continued to grow. He recently recorded a piano arrangement of "Collided" at his house and sent it to me. I loved the vibe instantly. I recorded vocals at my house, and sent it to my friend Ariel to mix. The result is this wide open, vulnerable feeling version that I hope you'll enjoy, wherever you like to listen...

Awesome to be a part of this mix + master! Great track by Brooke Annibale

In July, my band and I performed at The Ark - Ann Arbor, an incredible venue in Michigan. We filmed and recorded that night and the first song to make the cut is here! "Hold On" was performed by me, Seth Pierson (Bass), Dan Harding (Drums), & Mark Ramsey (Keys) and filmed by Charles Steen. Tracks were mixed and mastered by Pete Morse at Red Vault Audio Production.

Love how this case study from client Torus Power came together. Love also to see Pete Red Vault Audio smiling at the sound! This home is 200 years old, and Torus Power helps clean up the power allowing this at-home mixing studio to deliver the best possible audio for clients!
For some of us, working from home has become second nature in the past year and a half. For others of us, it's a chosen lifestyle. Today's guest is Pete Morse, a name you hear in the credits of each episode. Pete is a sound engineer, mixer, musician, and composer who constructed his state-of-the-art studio Red Vault Audio off the side of his house, awarding him the flexibility to work non traditional hours and be more present with his wife and two young daughters. 🎙️ Listen to the brand new episode "Work From Home Dadding" now! https://apple.co/3hZlfRm
We are excited to introduce our 2021 company reel! Not just because of the beautiful shots and stories it is filled with, but because it reminds us of how much we’ve been able to accomplish in the past 12 months, and how much we still have to look forward to. Thank you to each and every one of the businesses, organizations and agencies who are represented here. We couldn’t have done it without you! I'm thrilled to announce that my eighth record "Songs From The Green Room" will be released on Friday, July 31st through bandcamp.com! I am really proud of these new songs and I can't wait to share them with you all. I wrote and recorded this album at home over the past three months trying my best to channel what I have been feeling since mid-March into song form. My good friend and bandmate Pete Morse is producing the record and also handling mixing/mastering duties at his studio Red Vault Audio You can pre-order the record now at https://petekilpatrickband.bandcamp.com/album/songs-from-the-green-room
Hey Folks! Another day of emotional breadth. Please raise a cup of coffee to the great John Prine before reading on, he was the pinnacle of what we all strive for! The other side of the day for me is the official release of Chasing Horizons (the single) in all of the digital realms! You can listen in any place you consume music but if you're open to the artist suggestion of the proper pairing I'd drive you to: https://www.chasing-horizons.com/ the website that One Dynamic System (Justin Levesque) worked up for this project. It has photos, lyrics, the whole journey and you can listen to the Spotify track right on the site which helps keep a play count growing right there! If you're the old school or super hip new school person who puts financial backing behind your music consumption I'd love to invite you towards the Kickstarter page (http://kck.st/2JK36p7) I have set up as a pre-order site +. For one, I get a much higher % of the sale and I'm trying to use the platform to do more good for my friends as well. So, bullet points: * Love/Honor John Prine * When you're ready check out: https://www.chasing-horizons.com/ * Support the overall project and get a download of the entire EP first at : http://kck.st/2JK36p7 I couldn't have done this without the amazing work, dedication, and pure professional prowess of Pete Morse at Red Vault Audio! Today is the day!! "...Green Things To Grow" is here! Where can you find it? Your local Bull Moose Stores, iTunes, Spotify, Amazon Music, Google Play, Pandora, CDbaby... In the process of making this album and doing all the ridiculous things that need to be done to try and disseminate and monetize it (a questionable strategy), I remembered something..."I'm doing this because I like playing music!" And because I believe in music as a force for good in this world. This album tested me. I got to push my creative envelope and collaborate with some seriously talented friends. I got encouraged to take risks and put myself out there. I got really vulnerable. I got really discouraged. I laughed a lot. I got really excited. I got to be a visual artist again. I got to connect with old friends and make new ones. I had doubts. I was surprised. I was grateful. I recognize that I'm privileged to be able to follow this path. Thanks, again, to the many people who made it happen, especially my beloved bandmates: Kate Bee, Sorcha Cribben-Merrill, Adam Frederick, Seth Kearns, Sara Hallie Richardson, Katie Matzell, and Colin Winsor Thanks to Pete Nenortas at Satronen Sound, Ryan Wallace, Jud Caswell at Frog Hollow Studio, and Pete Morse at Red Vault Audio for making something that sounds SO GOOD. Thanks to all the wonderful people out there in T.V., radio, and print who support the work of local artists! Thanks to all of you, who listen and "like" and show up and cheer us on - strangers, friends, and family. My heart is full. Now...I sleep.

we are just a few weeks away from the end of this decade, which i’m finding is causing me to reflect quite a bit. “under streetlights” was written and recorded at the beginning of the decade in 2010, & has changed my journey in so many positive ways. this song was written in February of 2010 up in the stunning mountains of Austria. it has been requested by so many of you over the years, no matter how old it gets. it has been danced to as a first dance for a very sweet newlywed couple. it was my first song placed in a tv show. it was the first song i recorded for the album Silence Worth Breaking back in December of 2010. all that to say, it has been a very special song to me, and i’m releasing an acoustic version of it today that i recorded in my house. i hope you’ll listen: https://tonetree.ffm.to/streetlights written, performed & recorded by me (brooke) mixed by ariel bernstein mastered by Red Vault Audio cover photo (by me) of some of my favorite streetlights, on the 31st bridge in Pittsburgh
