A client sent this and other drives out to one of the "big" companies for transfer- that company sent back videos with audio out of sync. I've also heard plenty of stories of other companies losing original media, with no more than an "oops" (and no refund!) as an explanation.

Working with me, there's no intermediary- your videos come right to me, and I'll be the one performing the transfer. I can show you exactly where I am and what's going on in the process, before hand delivering all original media back to you.

Your memories deserve to be preserved by someone who cares about them just as much as you do- not some group that will treat them as no more than another paying order.

I think an intro is necessary. With a ton of new followers and posts, I've naturally had people wonder if I'm legit.

I'm Mike- I'm 34 years old (35 on Thursday!) and I assure you, I am legit (see my reviews). I'm based in Connecticut, but also serve parts of MA and NY. I'm married, have two kids with one on the way, a dog, and cat. I also work FT at ESPN, and play guitar and spend time outdoors in my spare time.

I grew up in upper Westchester, NY, and went to Marist College and lived in Dutchess County for a few years before moving to Connecticut to work at ESPN. Everywhere I serve I have a connection to- failing to do so makes "keeping your tapes local" moot.

My entire career since graduating in 2012 has been in media- from production to the technical aspects behind it, from large scale productions to small home videos. I started digitizing tapes in 2016 when a colleague of my FT job asked to help- and I haven't looked back!

It's an absolute honor and privilege to have families and individuals entrust me with their memories. I hope you'll give me the opportunity to modernize your history and stories.

Years ago, you or your family thought something was so significant, it had to be recorded so future generations can look back on that moment.

Years, even decades later, those memories are likely unable to be viewed or heard, or they will be soon. It's time to revive them and bring them into the digital age. Otherwise the time spent recording them was time wasted.

Convert and preserve those historical moments. We owe it to those who thought these moments were so important that they had to be recorded- and to those these memories were recorded for.

Memories, unfortunately, don't just include the good ones. Never forget.

I’m a consumer first—and I know how frustrating hidden fees can be. That’s why I keep it transparent.

To all clients who opt for pick up from me-

You will be provided with a weekly notice if your original media is not picked up. I have to make space in the drop-off/pick-up area for others as well. You may switch your return method at any time. A quick and speedy pickup is appreciated not just by myself, but by other clients as well.

Please note that I still do not dispose of any media, for any reason.

I hope everyone had a good weekend! I was up in Lake Placid making another memory watching my cousin get married! Crazy to think I transferred old tapes of us as kids about a year ago... who knows, maybe in 20-30 years I'll be updating memories made today as well!
