Classic February Birthday Cake (Original)
Ingredients:
8 large eggs
2 cups sugar
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup whole milk
Âľ cup butter
1 tbsp vanilla extract
Pink buttercream frosting
Edible glitter or pink sprinkles
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 9-inch round cake pans.
In a stand mixer, beat eggs and sugar until thick and pale.
Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.
Heat milk and butter in a saucepan until just melted.
Gradually add dry ingredients to egg mixture, alternating with warm milk-butter mixture. Stir in vanilla.
Divide batter into pans and bake 30–35 min. Cool completely.
Frost with pink buttercream and decorate with edible glitter.
