And there’s still A LOT happening on the North Fork this weekend! We’ve got live music happening all over the place, and this week we’re giving you a bonus day with Monday’s schedule included, too.

Our friends at Douglass Marine LLC • Towboat US Orient are back with some more tips to keep you safe out on the water. You’re going to want to save this!

Boats break down. Storms roll in. Things happen. If you find yourself in trouble on the water, remember:

🛟 Life jacket on
📞 Call 911 or the Coast Guard (CG sector LI Sound can be contacted on VHF channel 16 or at 1-866-299-8031)
⚓ Drop anchor
🛥️ If it’s safe to do so, turn off engine, watch for leaking fuel/fluids, stay nearby, keep updated coordinates of your location and the vessel
🚤 Call TowBoatUS
📸 Document the damage if it’s safe
📋 Contact your insurance company

Most importantly, don’t try to handle a recovery yourself. TowBoatUS has the experience and local knowledge to get you and your boat safely through the situation.

📍 Fort Pond Bay, Montauk

Before you drop the anchor, remember the basics:
 ⚓️ Give your boat enough room to swing near other boats ⚓️ Remember the 7 to 1 ratio for setting your anchor scope, you don’t want to drag anchor! ⚓️ And at night, display an all around anchor light!
