SHALOM

DAY 7 -EUCHARISTIA - CORPUS CHRISTI NOVENA

THURSDAY - 19/06/2025

PRAYER INTENTIONS.....

Communion and Unity in the Body of Christ.

For unity among all Christians across denominations.

That divisions within the Church may be healed through the grace of the Eucharist.

That the Eucharist may inspire us to build bridges of peace, understanding, and fraternity.

For parishes and communities torn by conflicts to rediscover harmony through the Sacrament of Communion.

That all believers may live as one Body in Christ, respecting, loving, and supporting one another.

*MEDITATION*

*““There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”
— (Ephesians 4:4–6)*

*🎈🌾Eucharist - A Call to Communion*

The Eucharist is not only a personal encounter with Christ it is a communal act that binds us together as one Body. When we receive the same Body of Christ, we are united more deeply not only to Jesus, but also to one another. This divine communion transcends cultures, languages, and divisions.

Yet, how often do we come to the altar with hearts divided from our brothers and sisters? The Eucharist challenges us to lay down pride, resentment, and indifference, and to seek reconciliation, inclusion, and solidarity.

Just as the bread is made from many grains and the wine from many grapes, so too are we many, but called to become one in Christ. In every Mass, heaven and earth unite. Let that unity flow into the Church and the world.

*In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.*

*Act of Contrition*

My God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart. In choosing to do wrong and failing to do good, I have sinned against you whom I should love above all things. I firmly intend, with your help, to do penance, to sin no more, and to avoid whatever leads me to sin. Our Savior Jesus Christ suffered and died for us. In his name, my God, have mercy.Amen

*Come Holy Spirit*

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.

O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations, Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

*The Lord's Prayer*

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

*Hail Mary*

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

*OPENING PRAYER*

Heavenly Father, deepen our understanding of the Eucharist as the fulfillment of your Word. May we always approach the Eucharist with awe and reverence, knowing that in it, we encounter your living presence. Amen.

*DAY 7 - CORPUS CHRISTI NOVENA*

O Jesus, Bread of Life,
we come before You with hearts full of Thanksgiving, drawn to Your altar where love is poured out and lives are renewed.
You gave Yourself to us in the Most Holy Eucharist, not as a symbol, but as Your very Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. We adore You, O Sacramental Lord, hidden yet fully present, silent yet speaking to the depths of our hearts.

Lord, in this novena journey, awaken in us a profound reverence for Your Eucharistic Presence. Teach us to live in holy communion with You, not only in the Sacrament but in every moment of our lives. May our worship rise from grateful hearts, and may our thanksgiving become a way of life.

Cleanse us, Lord, of all that keeps us from You. Unite us as one Body healed, forgiven, and made whole by Your love.
Help us to recognize You in the breaking of bread, in the faces of the poor, the lonely, and the wounded. May Your Eucharist transform us into instruments of peace, justice, and mercy in a world so in need of Your presence.

*_🌿 [Pause here and silently present your personal intentions...]_*

Lord Jesus,
You gave Yourself entirely for us may we give ourselves entirely to You. Inflame our hearts with Eucharistic love. Help us to never take Your Sacrifice for granted, but to live each day as grateful disciples, witnesses of Your Real Presence in our words, deeds, and relationships.

Mother Mary, teach us to ponder, to receive, and to adore as you did so perfectly at the foot of the Cross and at the altar of life. May your intercession strengthen us in this novena and draw us ever deeper into the mystery of Christ’s love.

Jesus, in the Most Holy Eucharist, we trust in You. Jesus, in the Most Holy Eucharist, we believe in You. Jesus, in the Most Holy Eucharist, we love You. Amen.

*🛐 Make Us One, O Eucharistic Lord*

Lord Jesus,
You are the Bread of Life, broken that we may be one. You prayed that we might all be one as You are one with the Father. Let that unity begin in me.

Heal the wounds of division in Your Body, the Church. Mend broken relationships, restore trust, and renew a spirit of communion among all believers. Where there is bitterness, plant mercy. Where there is pride, sow humility. Where there is misunderstanding, breathe peace.

May the grace of every Eucharist I receive make me an instrument of unity. Let me build bridges, not walls. Let me seek understanding, not judgment. Let me speak with love, not anger.

Teach us to live the mystery we receive.
That in partaking of Your Body,
we may become one Body healed, whole, and holy.

Lord, make us one, one people, one Church, one family. Unite the hearts of all who call on Your name. Let the world know we are Yours by our love. Let our communion at the altar be reflected in how we live and love one another each day.

Through the intercession of Mary, Mother of the Church and Queen of Peace, bring unity where there is division, and let Your Church shine with the beauty of Your oneness. Amen.

Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, spare us, O Lord.
Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, graciously hear us, O Lord.
Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.

Christ, hear us. Christ, graciously hear us.

O Sacrament most holy, O Sacrament divine, all praise and all thanksgiving be every moment Thine.

*🕊 Let us pray*

Lord Jesus Christ,
present in the Most Blessed Sacrament,
we bow before You in awe and adoration.
You give Yourself completely to us Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity in every celebration of the Holy Eucharist.
Kindle in us a flame of Eucharistic love that never dies out. Draw us into the mystery of Your self-giving love,
that we may be transformed by what we receive.

Bless this novena of Eucharistia.
Make it a fountain of renewal, unity, and deep Thanksgiving for all who participate. Sanctify us, O Lord, that we may live what we pray, and proclaim what we adore.

May Your Presence in the Eucharist heal our wounds, strengthen our faith, gather us as one Body, and send us out to be Your light in the world.

We ask this through You, Jesus Christ our Lord, who live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.

*Glory be to the Father...*
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

*In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.*

DAY 2 -NOVENA TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS

THEME: KNOW THE HEART THAT LOVES YOU MOST

THURSDAY - 19/06/2025

*PRAYER INTENTIONS.....*

*_The Heart that Burns with Love_*

Today we pray for all who feel unloved, rejected, or forgotten — that they may know the burning love of Christ.

Today we pray for our own hearts, that we may learn to love without conditions, like Jesus does.

*MEDITATION*

*(Jeremiah 31:3) “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.”

(John 15:9) “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Remain in my love.”

*🎈🌾 A Love That Burns, Not Fades*

At the very core of the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is this truth: God loves us with a burning, passionate, and unchanging love. This love is not theoretical, it is personal. It is not passive, it acts. It is not cold, it burns.

Jesus does not love us because we are perfect, good, or useful. He loves us because we are His. This is the love St. Paul says “surpasses knowledge” (Eph 3:19), and yet it is meant to be experienced, not just understood. The pierced Heart of Christ, crowned with thorns and set ablaze, is the ultimate symbol of this love: a Heart that suffers, forgives, pursues, and never gives up.

St. Catherine of Siena once said, “It was not the nails but love that held Him to the Cross.” And the Catechism reminds us: “The Sacred Heart of Jesus is the chief sign and symbol… of that love with which the divine Redeemer continually loves the eternal Father and all human beings” (CCC 478).

In a world that increasingly devalues people, where loneliness and rejection are daily realities, the Heart of Jesus cries out: “You are not forgotten. You are not unlovable. You are Mine.” He burns with desire that we return to Him, not in fear, but in freedom and trust.

And just as His Heart burns for us, He invites us to learn to love like Him, to set our own hearts on fire with mercy, compassion, and forgiveness. Not the shallow love of the world, but the deep, Christ-like love that endures, heals, and reconciles.

If you have ever felt rejected, unworthy, or distant, today is for you. The Sacred Heart is open, glowing, and waiting.

Heavenly Father,
You have revealed Your deep love for us through the Sacred Heart of Your Son, Jesus. As we begin this day’s prayer, open our hearts to know Him more, love Him deeply, and follow Him faithfully. Draw us closer to You through the Heart that loves us most. Amen.

*DAY 2 - NOVENA TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS*
*(CONSECRATION PRAYER TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS)*

O Most Loving Father,
You gave us Your Son, Jesus Christ, whose Sacred Heart burns with love for all Humanity. In His Heart, we see Your mercy, Your patience, and Your desire to draw us back when we go astray. We come before You now to consecrate ourselves, our families, and our nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Lord, we offer You every joy and sorrow, every hope and struggle. We unite to the Heart of Jesus all who suffer, all who search for meaning, all who feel forgotten. May His Heart be a refuge for the broken, a flame for the cold, and a compass for the lost. In His love, may we find healing, renewal, and the strength to forgive.

*_(Pause here to present your personal petitions...)*

Sacred Heart of Jesus, make our hearts like Yours, humble, merciful, and faithful. Teach us to love You above all things and to serve You in the poor, the wounded, and the forgotten. We entrust to You our Church, our leaders, and our land. Reign in every heart and be our peace. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

*🛐🔥 Inflame My Heart with Yours*

Sacred Heart of Jesus,
You burn with a fire no rejection can quench and no wound can extinguish. You loved me before I knew You and still love me when I forget You.

Today I bring You my heart, weak, slow to love, sometimes cold, and I ask You,
Inflame it with Yours. Teach me to love those who feel unloved, to see as You see, and to act with the kindness that flows from Your wounds. Draw near to all who are hurting, all who are forgotten, and whisper to them: “You are loved.” Make my life a flame, small, but sincere, that carries Your warmth into a world so cold. Through Christ our Lord,
Amen.

Catholic mass Daily Readings,Thursday June 19, 2025
WEEKDAY (11) in Ordinary time.

St Romuald, Abb. (Opt. Mem.)

Vestment: Green/White
Today’s Rosary: Luminous Mystery.

FIRST READING
A reading from the second Letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians (2 Corinthians 11:1-11)
“I preached God’s Gospel without cost to' you.”

Brethren: I wish you would bear with me in a little foolishness. Do bear with me! I feel a divine jealousy for you, for I betrothed you to Christ to present you as a pure bride to her one husband. But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if some one comes and preaches another Jesus than the one we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you submit to it readily enough. I think that I am not in the least inferior to these superlative apostles. Even if I am unskilled in speaking, I am not in knowledge; in every way we have made this plain to you in all things. Did I commit a sin in abasing myself so that you might be exalted, because I preached God’s gospel without cost to you? I robbed other churches by accepting support from them in order to serve you. And when I was with you and was in want, I did not burden any one, for my needs were supplied by the brethren who came from Macedonia. So I refrained and will refrain from burdening you in any way. As the truth of Christ is in me, this boast of mine shall not be silenced in the regions of Achaia. And why? Because I do not love you? God knows I do!

The word of the Lord.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM Psalm 111: 1b-2.3-4.7-8 (R. 7a)

R/. The Lord’s handiwork is justice and truth.
Or: Alleluia.

I will praise the Lord with all my heart,
in the meeting of the just and the assembly.
Great are the works of the Lord,
to be pondered by all who delight in them. R/.

Majestic and glorious his work;
his justice stands firm forever.
He has given us a memorial of his wonders.
The Lord is gracious and merciful. R.

His handiwork is justice and truth;
his precepts are all of them sure,
standing firm forever and ever,
wrought in uprightness and truth. R/.

ALLELUIA Romans 8:15bc
Alleluia. You have received the spirit of sonship; in him we cry, “Abba! Father!” Alleluia.

GOSPEL
“Pray then like this.”
A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew (Matthew 6:7-15)

At that time: Jesus said to his disciples, “In praying do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. Pray then like this: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father also will forgive you; but if you do not forgive men their trespasses neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

The Gospel of the Lord.

Niliihubiria Injili ya Mungu kwenu bila kuwalipisha chochote.

Somo katika barua ya pili ya Mtakatifu Paulo kwa Wakorintho

Ndugu: tafadhali muuvumilie kidogo ujinga wangu. Naam, mnivumilie! Kwanini? Ati, siwapendi ninyi labda? Mungu anajua.

INJILI
MATHAYO 6:7—15

Basi ninyi saline hivi.

† Somo la Injili takatifu ilivyoandikwa na Mathayo

Wakati ule: Yesu aliwaambia wafuasi wake, “Katika sala zenu msipige makelele mengi k**a wafanyavyo wapanai; kwani wanadhani kwamba watasikilizwa kwa sababu ya maneno yao mengi. Msiwaige, maana Baba yenu anajua mahitaji yenu hata kabla hamjamwomba. Basi, ninyi saline hivi: Baba yetu uliye mbinguni, jina lako litukuzwe, ufalme wako ufike, utakalo lifanyike, duniani k**a mbinguni. Utupe leo mkate wetu wa kila siku; utusamehe makosa yetu, k**a tunavyowasamehe na sisi waliotukosea; usitutie katika kishawishi, lakini utuopoe maovuni. Kwa maana mkiwasemehe watu makosa yao, na Baba yenu wa mbinguni atawasamehe ninyi. Bali, msipowasemehe watu makosa yao, wala Baba yenu hatawasamehe ninyi makosa yenu.”
