You may or may not have noticed that we are not receiving new books and movies as fast as we normally do. Baker & Taylor, our primary book wholesaler, is unexpectedly closing its doors. For many years, they have been our primary source for all of the books and movies on the shelves here at Sparta Library, along with countless libraries throughout the country.

We have been actively working to navigate this change. This summer, we procured a new book distributor so we can continue to offer the books and movies that our community loves. Because of this transition, you may have noticed some delays in the arrival of new releases and requested titles.

Please know that we are trying our hardest to provide you these materials in a timely manner. We truly appreciate your understanding and your patience, and your continued support means the world to us!
