Ten years.🏠❤️

It’s hard to believe it’s been a full decade since I took a leap of faith and started Heather Homes.

Over the past 10 years, I’ve renovated homes, worked alongside incredible clients and contractors, learned lessons I never expected, and discovered that every old house has a story worth preserving.

This video is a look back at that journey—but it’s also a look ahead.

Heather Homes isn’t going anywhere. The mission is simply getting bigger.

For the last ten years, I’ve been able to help homeowners one renovation at a time.

For the next ten years, my hope is to help many more through resources, design services, and practical guidance that empowers homeowners to thoughtfully renovate while preserving the character and history that make old homes so special.

To every client, homeowner, friend, and follower who has encouraged me over the last decade—thank you. I truly wouldn’t be here without you.

Here’s to the first 10 years... and whatever God has planned for the next 10. ❤️

Nine years ago this past weekend I bought My 1914 Bungalow — officially the longest I’ve owned a home as an adult. And somewhere along the way I skipped sharing the beginning of this story.

For the next few months I’m taking you all the way back. The befores you’ve likely never seen. The first round of renovations. And the updates I’m making right now.

I can’t wait to show you. 🏠

Happy New Year!! Thankful for a good year during 2024 with lots of client renovations and a few projects around my house . Oh and did you know that I went on a four-week cross country trip? Yep, it was amazing. Read all about it in the last post of 2024 and now I'm looking forward to a good new year in 2025. If you need help with your renovation, let's chat!

When my clients requested floor plans to add a new bathroom upstairs within the existing square footage, I said let's get to work. See where we found the extra space and the extra steps we took to try and make this room feel as if it was part of the original floor plan of this historic home.

If you're in the Upstate area mark your calendars for next Sunday, September 15th for a fun and free event Hampton Heights is hosting! Porchfest is a free music festival played from some of the porches of our beautiful historic homes. Road opens as 12:30pm with the bands beginning at 1pm and wrapping up around 5:30pm. Did I mention this event was free?

The HHNA leadership team has done an outstanding job pulling this fun event together so I hope you can come. Here's a little more information about the event and a few houses you might recognize on West Hampton that are close by the hosting homes. Hope you can make it!!

Over the last couple of months we've worked on three bathroom renovations, with a fourth soon to start. So with bathrooms on the mind, here's a look at how we reworked the floor plan in the master suite of the Corner Cottage to create a new master bathroom with some vintage touches.

Last week we put the finishing touches on the first of three bathroom renovations in our clients' historic home. So which is your favorite - that beautiful marble subway tile or the mosaic floor tile?

We just put the finishing touches on my client's guest bathroom and after receiving a full renovation, it turned out beautifully.
