As parents, we sacrifice so much for our children. There are some parents like Pat, who sacrifice in other ways like being deployed for months in another country.

Sacrifice looks different for us all, but the goal is the same - we want our kids to feel safe, seen and heard. 🩵

Parenting Tips: Take care of yourself so you can care for your family.

Being too overwhelmed and stressed to function does not benefit anyone in your household. Even if you take a break for 15 minutes while your children watch a TV show - that's better than pushing through to the point of a mental break. 🤯

It's so important to remember self care ESPECIALLY when you have kids.

My podcasting journey really started in 2019 when I invested in the equipment.

I recorded a few episodes here and there, but was too scared to publish any.

It wasn’t until I shared with Pat my desire to launch a podcast that he took action to make it happen.

He cleaned out a spare bedroom we were using as storage from moving, set up an old nightstand to mount the mics, and ordered us some loveseats.

Surprisingly enough, that was the nudge I needed to get our show off the ground! 🤩

We launched our first episode in February - on my birthday actually - and have consistently published a new episode every other week since!

I’m filled with gratitude and appreciation for everyone who watches/listens and I pinch myself when I see our numbers growing every week.

I want this to be encouragement for whoever is too intimidated to start their project.

Sometimes, it only takes one person to show they believe in you for your dreams to come true.

Liv

We are so fortunate to have grocery stores where we simply walk in, load a cart, and pay for our food. Even hunting nowadays is MUCH easier than is was for our ancestors who had to hunt to survive.

They didn't have a rangefinder, carbon fiber bows, and fancy clothing - they had to hunt with a bow they made from wood in the forest and a string made from horse hair. Hunting was their way of survival.

Pat discusses how hunting connects him to his ancestral past - such a hippie! :P

NEW Episode 18 is out! 🎧

We talk all about the basics of Hunting.

Because I hardly know what is involved in successfully getting an animal, I interview Pat to find out.

Who knew there was so much to consider BEFORE even buying gear and investing in this hobby/lifestyle.

Never seen two soaking wet people look this happy, have you?

Didn’t see any animals but a few does swishing their tails as they ran off. It rained the whole time, and I was having a blast.

I don’t normally hunt for animals to photograph, but because I’ve never seen an elk up close and it’s hunting season, I figured it was time to try!

Boy, is it a lot of work!
