I wasn’t trying to start a company. I was just trying to care for someone who needed help.

Six months ago, I stepped in for a client who suddenly needed round-the-clock support.
By the end of our time together, their family said, “You should start your own caregiving business.”

That wasn’t the first time I’d heard it and I’d honestly laughed it off at the time.

But here’s the reality I can’t ignore anymore:
→ Clients and families are overwhelmed.
→ Caregivers are exhausted and under-supported.
→ And the systems in place are making everything harder.

So no, I didn’t just start a company.
I’m building a movement.

I’ve spent the last few months gathering everything I need to bring this vision to life:
→ Creating new workflows
→ Designing support tools
→ Learning to code my own software—yes, from scratch.
(If you’ve never headbutted your way through Python until something finally worked… that’s real dedication.)

This isn’t about being flashy.
It’s about building something that works: for everyone involved in care.

And if someone out there wants to beat me to it?
Go for it.
Just know: this is my lived experience. This is my life’s work. And I’m not building from theory: I’m building from the front lines.

I don’t have a degree yet.
But I’ve got stories, strategy, and the will to make something better.
For caregivers. For clients. For families. For all of us.

Still Building: Even While I’m Melting

Today’s update? It was a high impact week and now I’m sick. Huddled in bed, mixing Moroccan mint tea with honey and vanilla ice cream.

This isn’t a highlight reel moment: it’s one of those foggy, slow-motion days. But Fowl Weather Family was never built on perfection. It was built on persistence. Even on the low days.

Rest is part of the rebuild. Quiet seasons have their own kind of power.
