📸 DAY 2 OF BLACK BUSINESS WEEKEND: ELEGANCE POWER STUDIOS ✨

Today we’re shining the light on Shai Fillius, the talented photographer and creative force behind Elegance Power Studios.

Shai doesn’t just take pictures. She creates space for people to feel confident, powerful, beautiful, and fully seen. Her photography is rooted in storytelling and real connection, capturing the energy behind a person instead of forcing them into a pose that doesn’t feel like them.

From family portraits and couples to children, branding sessions, and bold luxury shoots, Shai brings warmth and intention to every frame. Her work reminds us that photography isn’t just about how a moment looked. It’s about how that moment felt.

Elegance Power Studios serves Spokane and travels, turning everyday people, meaningful milestones, and creative visions into images worth holding onto.

Go show this Black-owned business some love, follow her work, share this spotlight, and book your next session with Shai! 🖤📷✨

🖤 BLACK BUSINESS WEEKEND: DAY 1 🖤
📸 Alexander Leon Lockett | BrewCity Flash Photography

We’re kicking off Black Business Week with somebody very close to home for me.

If you know Alexander Leon Lockett, aka BrewCity Flash, then you know that man usually has a camera somewhere nearby. 😂 But photography is so much more than just taking pictures for him. He has built a business around capturing people, moments, families, events and memories that deserve to be remembered.

And I get to see the person behind the camera.

Alex is a father of six children, one of them with me, and I can say personally that he is an amazing parent, partner and photographer. He loves his kids HARD. He shows up for them. And watching him continue to chase something that belongs to him while still carrying the responsibility of being a father is something I’m proud of.

BrewCity Flash Photography has grown into a recognizable name in Spokane’s Black community, and Alex’s photography has been used to document some pretty important people, organizations and community moments around this city.

But he’s nowhere near done.

One of his biggest future goals is to create his own tattoo magazine, combining his love of photography with tattoo culture and giving artists, collectors and their stories a platform of their own. And knowing Alex, once he gets an idea in his head, eventually he’s going to figure out how to make it happen. 😂

So Day 1 is for you, Alex. 🖤

For continuing to build.
For being behind the camera when other people’s moments need to be captured.
For raising your babies.
And for still dreaming bigger.

📸 Need a photographer? BOOK HIM.

Family photos. Events. Portraits. Celebrations. Creative shoots. Whatever you need, go talk to BrewCity Flash.

And Spokane, don’t just LIKE Black-owned businesses during Black Business Week.

Hire them. Pay them. Tag them. Refer them. Put money into Black businesses. 🖤
