HELKAT LESSONS • LESSON 8 🏍️

Here’s one that gets confused ALL the damn time.

Support merchandise and soft colors are not the same thing.

You can buy a support shirt because you support a club, organization or event. That doesn’t suddenly make you a member.

Soft colors are different. They generally represent actual club membership and are worn according to that club’s traditions and rules.

And no, calling them “soft” doesn’t mean they don’t mean anything. 😂

If the full patch is on it, there isn’t much “soft” about what you’re representing.

Every club handles its colors differently, so when in doubt, ASK before assuming.

Because one of the easiest ways to look like you don’t know what the hell you’re doing is wearing something you don’t understand.

Learn first. Wear accordingly.

Support merchandise shows support.
Soft colors show membership.

I MADE A THING. ❤️

https://stan.store/helkatreflections/p/youre-not-starting-from-nothing

And I’m actually really fu***ng excited about this one.

I’ve spent a ridiculous amount of time lately thinking about the women who tell me:

“I want to do something, but I don’t even know what I would do.”

Or…

“I don’t have anything anybody would pay attention to.”

And I keep thinking… bu****it.

You’ve worked for 20 or 30 years.

You’ve raised kids.

You’ve organized everybody’s lives.

You’ve survived s**t.

You’ve learned hobbies, jobs, systems, shortcuts, lessons and things the hard way.

You’ve probably got something people already call or text you about because “you know how to do that.”

But because it’s ordinary to you, you don’t recognize it as valuable.

So I created a FREE guide called:

YOU’RE NOT STARTING FROM NOTHING.

It’s not a “quit your job tomorrow” guide.

It’s not a get-rich-quick promise.

And I’m definitely not going to tell you that downloading a PDF is going to magically turn you into an entrepreneur. 😂

It’s designed to help you look at what you already know, have lived, learned, survived, figured out, or naturally help people with and start asking:

Could I build something from this?

A guide. A checklist. A book. A resource. A class. A service. Maybe even recommending something you genuinely believe in.

You don’t have to know the answer yet.

That’s the whole damn point.

I built this from scratch in my own voice, from what I’ve been learning while building HelKat, and I’m pretty damn proud of it.

If you want a copy, I’ll put the link in the comments. ❤️

You aren’t starting from nothing.

You might just need somebody to help you recognize what’s already there.

Tonight felt like one of those little reminders that all the pieces really are starting to come together. ❤️

I finally made it out to bike night after work and life have kept me ridiculously busy lately.

I got to catch up with friends, laugh, talk motorcycles, and just be around people I haven’t seen enough of.

A few people asked me about Behind the Patch.

Someone asked about purchasing a copy.

And then I got some pretty damn exciting news.

The HelKat Founding Builders Circle officially has a founding member. 🔥

YESSSSS. 😂

This six-week program is something I have put a tremendous amount of thought, work and real-life experience into.

It wasn’t created from some generic “how to start a business” template.

It grew out of what I’ve actually done.

Writing and publishing.

Creating products.

Learning AI and Canva.

Building HelKat Reflections.

Marketing things that worked.

Marketing things that absolutely did not. 😂

Learning new technology because I needed it.

Making mistakes, fixing them and figuring out the next move.

And now I get to take what I’ve learned and help other women figure out what they can build from what they already know, have lived, or naturally do well.

I have one hell of a plan for these six weeks.

Real curriculum.

Real tools.

Live work.

Accountability.

And a whole lot of “okay, what do we actually need to do next?”

Tonight was motorcycles, books, friends and business all tangled together.

And maybe that’s exactly what HelKat Reflections was supposed to become.

Not one tiny box.

All of it.

We’re building. 🔥

Here we go! It is Monday my friends 👇

HELKAT LESSONS • LESSON 7
REPRESENT MORE THAN YOURSELF

One thing this lifestyle taught me a long time ago is that people don’t always separate your behavior from the people you’re connected to.

Fair or not, they notice.

How you speak.
How you treat people.
How you handle conflict.
How you act when you’re pi**ed off.
And yep, how you carry yourself online.

When you’re connected to something bigger than yourself, your actions can reflect on your family, your friends, your workplace, your club and your community.

I learned that early in biker culture.

And I don’t see it as somebody controlling me.

I see it as being aware that how I carry myself matters.

Anybody can represent well when everything is going their way.

Character shows up when s**t isn’t.

That doesn’t mean staying quiet when something needs said. God knows I’m probably never going to master THAT lesson. 😂

It means knowing there’s a difference between speaking your mind and forgetting who you are while you’re doing it.

Because sometimes your name isn’t the only name walking into the room with you.

Representation isn’t control. It’s responsibility.

What do you think? Does who you associate with affect how people see you?

You don’t have to fit neatly into one box.

That’s probably one of the biggest things I’ve learned about myself.

I can be feminine and ride a motorcycle.

I can be loud and still have something meaningful to say.

I can be a survivor without making survival my entire identity.

I can write books, make music, build a business, sit at a biker event one weekend and teach a class the next.

None of those things cancel the others out.

For a long time, I think women were taught to pick a lane.

Be the mom.
Be the wife.
Be the professional.
Be the caregiver.
Be the pretty one.
Be the tough one.

F**k the lane.

Maybe everything you’ve lived, learned, survived, screwed up, figured out and gotten damn good at is part of what makes you valuable now.

You don’t have to become somebody completely different to build your next chapter.

You might just need to stop overlooking the woman you already became.

Well… holy s**t. ❤️

A few months ago, Behind the Patch: One Woman’s Outlaw Road to Freedom officially made its way into the world.

Getting there was anything but simple.

I wrote it. Rewrote it. Fought with formatting. Fought with KDP. Got rejected by Ingram four damn times. Fixed it again. Started my own publishing company and eventually got the book approved for distribution through HelKat Legacy Co.

And then something pretty fu***ng amazing happened.

People started reading it.

I started sitting at biker events signing copies.

Women I had never met started reaching out because they saw pieces of their own lives in mine.

And Behind the Patch went on to win two Bronze Global Book Awards.

Somewhere in all of that, HelKat Reflections became more than an idea or a name I was trying to build.

It became real.

Books. Music. Events. Writing. Speaking. And now, teaching and helping other women figure out what the hell they might be able to build from everything THEY already know and have lived through.

That’s probably the part I’m proudest of.

Behind the Patch started with one woman deciding her story was worth telling.

I had absolutely no fu***ng clue where that decision would eventually take me.

And I’m still building.

Still learning.

Still figuring s**t out.

But I don’t say, “I wrote a book,” anymore.

I’m an author.

I’m a publisher.

And HelKat Reflections is becoming exactly what I didn’t know how to describe when I first started building it.

There is a hell of a lot more coming. ❤️

HELKAT LESSONS • LESSON 6 🏍️

KNOW YOUR LANE

One of the things this lifestyle taught me a long time ago is that you do NOT have to know everything to belong.

Not every conversation needs your opinion.

Not every situation needs your involvement.

And not everything happening around you is automatically your business.

That doesn’t mean you’re weak. It doesn’t mean someone is controlling you. Sometimes it simply means you understand boundaries.

I’ve learned to trust that if something affects me, the person responsible for telling me will tell me.

Until then?

I don’t need to investigate it, insert myself into it or make it mine.

There is actually a whole lot of peace in being able to say…

“That isn’t my lane.”

And staying the hell in your own lane might save you from a whole lot of unnecessary drama. 😂

Ride. Learn. Lead.

I finally figured out exactly who I’m trying to help.

Her name is Emily.

She works hard. She’s raising two kids. She worries about money, carries everyone else, and still has dreams she hasn’t completely given up on.

She doesn’t need another person promising overnight success.

She needs someone willing to say:

I didn’t know how to do this either.
But I’m learning.
And I’ll show you while I build it.

Emily is not one woman.

She is thousands of women.

And maybe she is you. ♥️

Tell me below: What is the dream you still haven’t completely given up on?

I didn’t write this because women need to become stronger.
I wrote it because I got tired of hearing people praise strong women without ever asking what that strength cost them.

Cancer.

MS.

Lupus.

Divorce.

Motorcycle miles.

Hospital beds.

Courtrooms.

Life has taught me that being “the strong one” isn’t a personality.

Sometimes it’s survival.

So I created something free.

5 Hard Truths About Being the Strong One

If you’ve ever carried everyone else while quietly falling apart yourself…

I wrote this for you.

There were years when I didn’t know whether my body would let me ride again.

Today, I’m out here making miles.

Not because everything is easy.
Not because the pain, fatigue, or fear disappeared.
But because I refuse to spend the rest of my life only surviving.

Sometimes freedom looks like a long road.

Sometimes it looks like stopping beside your bike, laughing at yourself, and being grateful you are still here to take the picture.

The road never promised me an easy life.

It only reminded me that my story isn’t over.

Still standing. Still riding. Still becoming.
