It’s not you… it’s August. 💛🌅

That quiet tug in your chest, wishing summer would slow down—like trying to hold lake water in your hands.

We were busy… Michigan mornings on the beach, sunsets over the lake with family, and cheering under the Florida sun at the baseball World Series. ☀️🌊⚾️

We soaked up so much joy. We made time. We lived loud and laughed hard.

But now I find myself longing for one more slow morning, one more barefoot backyard night, one more popsicle-sticky hug before school bells ring and backpacks take over the hallway.

It’s the bittersweet pause—the tug-of-war between soaking it in and prepping for what’s next. 🩵💗

I know the routines, the early alarms, and lunchboxes are coming… but for just a little longer, I’ll sip my coffee slow, watch them chase fireflies, and hold on tight to the magic of now.

Because it’s not laziness.

It’s love.
It’s Texas summer.
It’s August. 🌾🩷

🎒 To the moms sending their kids to middle school—whether it’s public or private—take a deep breath.

One day it’s juice boxes and scraped knees. Now it’s lockers, group chats, and finding their place in a world that’s a little bigger and a lot louder.

Middle school is a ride. It’s full of change, emotions, and growing pains.
They still need you—just in quieter, sometimes harder-to-spot ways.

You might not hear every detail, but your support still matters.
💬 “I’m proud of you.”
💬 “I believe in you.”
💬 “I’m here.”

And mama, don’t forget to check in—not just to make sure your kid is OK, but to make sure they’re being kind, too.
Middle school can be tough. Let’s raise kids who look out for others, not look down on them.

Here’s to the moms guiding their kids through the mess and magic.
