This is my favorite burrito Senor Burrito Company !! The steak is absolutely delicious and melts in your mouth! The street tacos are proper, the breakfast tacos are delicious! Having lived in Austin home of some of the best breakfast tacos, it’s been hard to impress me since. But this little local family owned restaurant is my go to spot ever time! We tried the burrito bowl today, it was amazing. The food tastes like good home cooking made with love. 💚

💚 An Update from The Heart of Spring Texas

It’s hard to believe how long it’s been since we filmed our very first community interview with Jess Sohns of Grace Family Therapy Institute. When this project began, I was juggling full-time caregiving for my grandmother, running my own business, and caring for my sweet girl, Maryjane, whose health had been declining.

Like so many of us do, I poured into everyone else first and worked late into the night when the world got quiet. I thought I could push through like always—but life had other plans. Before we could launch our first interview, Maryjane took a sharp turn, and those final weeks became 24/7 care and constant hope. Many of you know the outcome… on September 2nd, she finally rested. Losing her broke me in a way I never expected.

Still, being a woman of my word mattered to me. I kept a few interviews going because I didn’t want to let people down. Looking back at the footage now (oh boy, you can see how exhausted I was!)—but the Heart of Spring Texas was never about looking perfect. It’s about showing up real for our community.

✨ And with that… I’m so happy to say our very first interview is officially in editing and will be launched THIS WEEK!

I want to thank every single one of you for your patience, kindness, and understanding. I stepped back because I had to—but I’m stepping forward again with a full heart.

I’ve found peace knowing Maryjane is whole and healed, and I’ve been blessed with a new little joy—Oliver Emil Kettu. Some say Maryjane sent him to me, and I’ll gladly take that gift.

Thank you for walking this journey with me. This space was built on honesty, heart, and community—and that’s exactly how we’ll continue.

Let’s keep the kindness flowing through Spring, Texas.

💛 Local Love + Heartfelt Moments!

A huge thank you to Mary and her husband at Bowers Tech Design! I needed a last-minute T-shirt for , and they totally came through, working late into the night to make it happen. The shirt looked amazing! 🙌

This wasn’t just any shirt—it was designed to honor the veterans we’ve lost, a cause especially meaningful since Brice, the founder of MTC, is a retired Air Force veteran. And the timing? MTC was selected to be featured in the Houston edition of the prominent art magazine, Quiltfolk—a very special moment for Brice and the community. 🩵

Mary and her husband aren’t just about great design—they genuinely care about our community, giving back, and celebrating meaningful moments. Their dedication and heart shine in everything they do. 💙

🌟 Local Spotlight: A Good Human Doing Good Things 🌟

I want to take a moment to shine a light on someone in our community who deserves a big round of applause.

I first met Kobe Kennedy, owner of Clutch City Scoopers, when he posted about a dog that had been abandoned. Thanks to his big heart for animals, I found that dog, rescued him, and he’s now a forever part of my family. ❤️ More on this later 💚

Kobe isn’t just a pet lover—he’s a University of Houston senior, a local business owner, and someone who leads with kindness. His company, Clutch City Scoopers, was built from his love for animals and his drive to give back. With every yard cleanup or dog walk, a portion of proceeds goes to support local animal shelters 🐾—so every booking makes a difference.

💡 And here’s an idea: even if you don’t have a dog, you can still support Kobe’s mission by gifting his services to a senior neighbor or a neighbor with disabilities who might not be able to manage yard clean-up themselves.
