Y’all already know that I am fully in love with all things breakfast. I will choose breakfast foods over all other foods, 7-8 days a week! Thats right, so much love I have an 8th day in my week.

So why not share some excellent breakfasts that I know you need on a plate in front of your face right this very moment!

I am talking about the Banana Bread French toast from The European with a hot cup of the Creme brulè latte, or even the breakfast poutine from Lindberg's Tavern, whom are the ruler of beautiful plates for brunch on Sundays!

One of the staple brunch/breakfast dishes in my life is and always will be The Full English from JW’s Kitchen, it has everything a growing boy needs. Eggs, mushrooms, and BEANS! Let’s zoom on down to Branson while we’re at it. Biscuits and gravy from Hungry Hunter Restaurant really hits the spots, but we cannot go without the stuffed French Toast from Steamy Joe Branson!

The Rountree Neighborhood is always serving up must tries, the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel from Tea Bar & Bites with a side salad has quickly become a favorite. Same goes for the Breakky Soup from Sleepy Opossum Cafe, who knew I needed delicious, savory soup first thing in the morning?!

Now, let’s make our way to the south side, after putting back an entire plate of carnitas breakfast tacos from the always great El Cafecito - The Little Coffee Shop , to the Opa Meat Scramble from Van Gogh's Eeterie on Historic C-Street! Or maybe a skillet is more up your alley, The Twisted Skillet from the one and only Kad-e Korner Store & Diner is worth the drive to the north side!

Let’s wrap it up with a childhood staple, a spot that I started going to while visiting family in the Spokane/Highlandville area, I am talking about a chicken fried steak from Gateway Cafe! It’s huge, it’s filling, it’s nap time.

There ya have it, a quick breakfast itinerary for your breakfast food loving palates. A lil bit of sweet, a lil bit of savory, and a whole lot of goodness! I know I haven’t included EVERY breakfast spot I have visited, as if I did this post would be a book, but it’s a good start!

We did it, we made it to the loooooong weekend, let’s get you a food itinerary for your Saturday!

✨First off, do as I do, start your morning with the BEC, that’s Bacon, Egg, & Cheese on a poblano cheddar bagel from BB Bagels! Candied bacon, melty cheese, oh it’s so good!

✨Next, you are going to need to wash it all down, so go see the always wonderful, Andrea at 417 Simply Better for all your coffee & smoothie needs! The Cacao Smoothie is filled with banana, cacao nibs, coconut cream, and so much more, dooooo it!

✨Now, a Saturday isn’t a Saturday in the Dove household without going to Farmers Market of the Ozarks! You must grab a scotch egg from London Calling Pasty Company with some mustard, and then for your sweet tooth, cannolis from Dapper Dessert Co.!

✨Are you still hungry? Sure you are! We’re headed to Historic C-Street and grabbing one of the best sandwiches in town, from Blue Heron Farm & Bakery! The Greek is a buttery croissant filled with hummus, tzatziki, cucumber, tomato, sprouts, lettuce, marinated onions, it’s so good!

Now, you have no excuses on eating good food today. None of that “where do you wanna go, I dunno, where do you wanna go?” Now, you’re going to say, “I can’t eat all that on my own!” Not with that attitude, you can’t! Bring friends, bring family, and enjoy this spicy lil Saturday!

One of my most favorite food trucks to hit in the Springfield area is and has always been The.Hibachi.Experience!

Their to go boxes of hibachi is always enough food for me to make multiple meals out of and it’s so dang good! But not only do they have great food trucks, but they also have their brick and mortar called T.H.E SPOT!

They offer all of the great hibachi items that’s on the menu for the food truck, but you can also get wings, egg rolls, spring rolls, and they have a full bar on site.

✨T.H.E. Special: my go to, it’s three proteins, I roll with steak, shrimp, and the teriyaki chicken. It also comes with a mountain of rice, veggies, and noodles. You can even choose have it topped with an egg and an extra ball of butter if you’re feeling sassy. You can also get the pork Bulgogi as your protein, which has a nice little spicy kick to it. Drizzle on some of their spicy chipotle Yum Yum sauce and I just made your Friday night dinner plans!

Tonight the food truck will be at Pocket Park SGF in Downtown Springfield 10pm-2am. Also THE SPOT is open 4pm-9pm, go check it out!

When your buddy Luis Pantaleon says “trust me, trust the process” as he films you eating a whole mess of chicken wings from Kick's Chicken. You get this cinematic masterpiece!

I love when a new spot opens in the area, serving all sorts of new creations and spins of classics! That’s exactly what Masala Theory is doing right this very minute!

Their menu is filled with all sorts of Indian fusion cuisine, I’m taking pizzas, loaded bowls, grilled sandwiches, buroti wraps, and wonderful ice cream for dessert!

✨Pizzas: We tried the butter chicken pizza, topped with chicken, red onion, tomato, cilantro and of course butter sauce! It’s slightly sweet, has that great spiced and buttery flavor you already know and love! You can also get a veggie delight, paneer pizza, beef tikka, and even a masala meat special!

✨Buroti: Who knew that I NEEDED chicken tikka all wrapped up cozy like a burrito?! The wrap is filled with fries, cheese, your choice of sauce (curry, tikka, butter) bell pepper, onion, and cilantro. This is a beast, even cut in half, it can feed two people. So saucy, cheesy, and the ultimate vessel to get that food to my face hole!

✨Sandwiches: These are like the ultimate grilled sammies. Perfectly toasted bread, and again filled with your choice of chicken, beef, veggies or paneer. It’s served with masala fries which are so tasty! If you love a grilled cheese that’s been loaded up, check these out.

✨Bowls: Owner, Sam described these best, they are like a bowl from Chipotle, but with Indian flair! You start with rice, chickpeas, your choice of sauce, protein, and fresh veggies. Jalapeño, corn, cucumber, mushrooms, tomatoes, you name it, load it up!

✨Dessert: I am not usually a dessert eater, I fill up on savory items, with zero sweet tooth. This sweet treat known as Faluda is a must try! Vanilla ice cream with rose Rooh Ada rose milk, fruit, topped with some chewy treat, and mango or chocolate syrup and a cherry. When it’s 90+ degrees outside, this is the treat you need!

Sam the owner is such a down-to-earth person, and I know he is excited for y’all to try his menu! So make plans to go eat your way through this very fun menu and continue supporting local!
