Good news and Bad news. Vito recovered from his surgeries, but has not been allowed back into the family. He’s now living on the same pond, but has to remain unseen by Hazel or he gets chased away.

I’m feeding him in a different location and hoping he can keep growing and getting stronger while I find him a new home. He’s proven to be a very resilient little guy. I’m officially attached to this one! Who doesn’t love an underdog?

Update Added Below!

Today is a Vet Visit after a long stressful weekend. One of the boys developed an infection in his wing. Amputation at the joint is underway with Dr Gillespie at @ Eastside Vet Clinic. Sedation for swans is a tricky thing so fingers are crossed tightly right now!

Update: He made it through the procedure! Now we have wound cleaning, redressing and meds daily along with quarantine for 7-10 days.

And Mother Hazel still hates me for the kidnapping…
