Raiders Sign Braeden Daniels: A Quiet Move That Could Become a Huge Opportunity in Las Vegas
The Las Vegas Raiders just made another move that may not dominate NFL headlines — but it could become much more important once the regular season arrives. The Raiders have signed offensive lineman Braeden Daniels, adding a former fourth-round pick to an offensive line that continues to be one of the most closely watched position groups in Las Vegas.
The timing is what makes this interesting.
The signing comes immediately before the Raiders' preseason opener against the Arizona Cardinals, meaning Daniels has very little time to learn the system and prove he belongs. The Raiders also made a corresponding move, waiving/injuring guard Justin Pickett to create the roster spot.
Daniels isn't arriving with the hype of a first-round superstar.
He's arriving with something potentially more valuable right now: an opportunity.
And with the Raiders trying to build a tougher, deeper roster around their new era, could this low-profile signing become one of the smartest moves of training camp?

RAIDERS ROOKIE MIKE WASHINGTON JR. IS TURNING HEADS — AND NOW HE’S GETTING HIS FIRST REAL NFL TEST
The Fourth-Round Running Back Has Earned a Major Opportunity Before His Preseason Debut
The Las Vegas Raiders have plenty of reasons to be excited about their rookie class, but Mike Washington Jr. may be quietly becoming one of the most intriguing names to watch. That is a significant opportunity for a rookie who isn't expected to simply watch from the sidelines. Washington brings a combination of power, speed and explosiveness, and he could see meaningful work behind starter Ashton Jeanty. But is Washington just another promising rookie fighting for snaps — or are the Raiders about to discover a legitimate weapon they can’t afford to keep off the field?

“I NEVER WANTED TO LEAVE” — MAXX CROSBY’S RAIDERS LOYALTY MEETS
One NFL star almost left his team. Another is preparing for a preseason opportunity that could shape his future. On the surface, Maxx Crosby’s return to the Raiders
Crosby’s proposed move to Baltimore collapsed after he failed his physical, and he is now back with the Raiders, where he has made clear he wants to remain a Raider for life.
Are the players who care most about every opportunity the ones who ultimately become the most valuable when the games finally count?

KIRK COUSINS AND MAXX CROSBY WERE BENCHED AFTER A RAIDERS PRACTICE FIGHT — AND ROOKIE FERNANDO MENDOZA GOT A HUGE OPPORTUNITY
A Heated Training-Camp Clash Between Two Raiders Stars Forced Las Vegas to Send a Clear Message About Its New Culture
The Las Vegas Raiders wanted intensity at training camp. What they got was a fight involving two of their biggest names. Kirk Cousins and Maxx Crosby were both held out of team drills Saturday after the veteran quarterback and star pass rusher clashed during Friday’s practice. According to reports, Cousins became upset after Crosby tipped one of his passes, then charged toward the 6-foot-5 defensive end before teammates intervened. Rather than ignore the incident, new head coach Klint Kubiak immediately disciplined both players by keeping them out of Saturday’s team work. But the most fascinating part may have come afterward: rookie No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza suddenly received first-team quarterback reps against the starting defense — and he delivered three touchdown passes. Was this simply an ugly moment in a competitive training camp, or did the Raiders accidentally give their rookie quarterback the biggest opportunity of his young career?

THE RAIDERS HAVE SLEEPERS EVERYWHERE — AND ONE OF THEM COULD CRASH THE STARTING LINEUP
Las Vegas’ 2026 Training Camp Is Producing Surprise Candidates Who Could Completely Change the Depth Chart
The Las Vegas Raiders entered training camp with plenty of obvious names to watch. Fernando Mendoza is the No. 1 overall pick. Brock Bowers is already one of the league’s most dangerous young weapons. Maxx Crosby remains the face of the defense. But the most important developments may be coming from players who weren't supposed to headline the depth chart. As position battles intensify, several Raiders sleepers are making legitimate cases to become Week 1 starters
Could one of these unexpected names become the breakout player who changes the entire trajectory of the Raiders' 2026 season?

Raiders Draw the Line After Kirk Cousins–Maxx Crosby Fight — But Did Fernando Mendoza Just Become the Biggest Winner?
Tempers exploded at Las Vegas Raiders training camp, and the consequences came quickly. After quarterback Kirk Cousins and star defensive end Maxx Crosby got into a heated confrontation during Friday’s practice, the Raiders held both veterans out of team drills the following day for violating team rules. The incident immediately became one of the biggest stories of training camp, especially because Cousins and Crosby are two of the most important veteran leaders on the roster. But the drama created an unexpected opportunity for someone else: rookie quarterback Fernando Mendoza. With Cousins sidelined, the No. 1 overall pick suddenly took first-team repetitions and reportedly made the most of them. Now the question is no longer simply why Cousins and Crosby fought. Did their confrontation accidentally give Mendoza the opportunity that could change the Raiders’ quarterback picture?

Jermod McCoy’s Road Back Is Almost Complete — And the Raiders May Have a Hidden Star on Their Hands
Jermod McCoy has waited a long time for this moment. The young Las Vegas Raiders cornerback has not played in a real football game since December 2024, but after months of rehabilitation, uncertainty and questions about whether he could return to his old form, McCoy finally believes he is getting close. A torn ACL cost him the entire 2025 season at Tennessee and caused his draft stock to slide all the way to No. 101, where the Raiders selected him in the fourth round. Now, at just 20 years old, McCoy is fighting his way back — and early training-camp flashes suggest the talent that once made him look like a potential first-round pick is still there. Could the player the NFL overlooked become one of the Raiders’ biggest surprises of 2026?

Jermod McCoy Is Finally Back — And the Raiders’ Rookie Cornerback Has Something to Prove
For Jermod McCoy, the road back to football has been about much more than rebuilding a knee. It has been a test of confidence, patience and belief. The young cornerback missed the entire 2025 season at Tennessee after tearing his ACL, a devastating setback that also caused his draft stock to fall. Once viewed as a potential first-round talent, McCoy ultimately waited until the fourth round before the Las Vegas Raiders selected him with the No. 101 overall pick. Now, months later, the 20-year-old is finally beginning to feel like himself again. His confidence is returning, his explosiveness is showing up in practice, and his teammates are already taking notice. But with his first NFL game action since December 2024 approaching, one question is impossible to ignore: Could the Raiders have just discovered one of the biggest steals of the 2026 NFL Draft?

“YOU WANT TO TEST ME? THEN LET’S GO.” — Kirk Cousins Finally Snaps at Maxx Crosby as Raiders Camp Erupts
The Raiders wanted intensity at training camp. They probably did not expect it to explode between two of the biggest names on the roster. Kirk Cousins and Maxx Crosby turned a routine 11-on-11 practice into one of the most talked-about moments of Raiders camp after Crosby hit the veteran quarterback twice during live action. The second collision appeared to be the breaking point. Cousins reacted, got in Crosby’s face and grabbed the star pass rusher’s jersey before teammates quickly separated them. Suddenly, the message was impossible to miss: Cousins was not going to simply absorb another hit and walk away. With emotions running high and both players later held out of the next team period, fans are now asking whether this was just normal training-camp intensity — or the first sign of a much bigger battle inside the Raiders locker room.

With Kirk Cousins Sidelined, Fernando Mendoza Gets a Golden Opportunity With the Raiders
The Las Vegas Raiders suddenly have a quarterback storyline worth watching. While veteran Kirk Cousins takes a step back, rookie Fernando Mendoza has been given an opportunity that many young quarterbacks can only dream about: first-team reps. For a rookie, those snaps are more than just another training-camp session. They are a chance to prove that he belongs on the field with the starters and that the Raiders may have a much deeper quarterback situation than expected. Mendoza entered the NFL with plenty of attention after a standout college career, but now the evaluation becomes much more serious. Coaches can watch his decision-making, accuracy, command of the huddle and ability to operate the offense against starting defenders. The question is no longer simply whether Mendoza has potential. Could these unexpected first-team reps be the moment that changes his future in Las Vegas?
