A fan is in critical condition after falling from the 200 level Monday night at PPG Paints Arena during the Penguins’ game against the St. Louis Blues.

The incident happened just after the Penguins scored their second goal, just 55 seconds into the first period of the game.

Fans said they saw the man in a Penguins jersey stumble down several stairs between sections 201 and 234 as he approached the bottom of the section before falling into and tumbling headfirst over the glass.

One fan in the stands told the Post-Gazette the man “cartwheeled right over the railing.”

We are heading into our 8th year in 2020! It’s amazing how Arch City Media has evolved and the experiences and opportunities that have come along with it. We are dedicated to covering local sports and entertainment.

Arch City Media has a core staff of writers and photographers who cover events and many contributors who share their opinions on the local sports teams. Over the years, Arch City Media has continued to grow, helping our staff increase both in size and in talent. We have been credentialed to minor league, college, and high school sports in the area and even some of the Cardinals’ affiliate teams. Hopefully, we can soon add St. Louis’ major league teams to this list, too.

As of now, Arch City Media’s site has had over 3,500,000 unique views. All of our hardworking writers, photographers, and podcasters truly appreciate your continued support as we make this our job, a passionate hobby, or as a stepping stone into something bigger down the line.
