65% of church creatives are mentally tired.
Church fam, take a moment and check in with your church social media manager.
As we close out the year, remember—they’ve carried a _full year_ of content, planning, strategy, and ministry. What you see on social media isn’t just a quick snap, click, and post. There’s _so much more_ that goes into creating one single piece of content.
And while I know those who voted are just a small representation of church creatives, imagine how many more may feel the same way.
Yes, this is ministry, and it’s an honor to serve. But let’s still be mindful enough to ask how they’re truly doing.
Ask things like:
🙏🏽 “How can we support you?”
🙏🏽“How are you feeling?”
🙏🏽“What can we take off your plate?”
A simple thank-you goes a long way. Words are powerful and deeply encouraging.
If they need help, leaders—don’t hesitate to poll the congregation on a Sunday. You may be surprised who’s willing to volunteer and help strengthen the media ministry.
And last, but certainly not least: keep them lifted in prayer. Their work is serious kingdom work. Every post has the potential to reach the world for Jesus—and may even play a part in someone’s salvation.
To my church creatives and SMMs:this only works if you are honest. When someone asks how you’re doing, don’t hide your exhaustion. And don’t wait for someone to ask—speak up. Share what you’re carrying so you can receive the support you need, when you need it.
