Non-slip souls.

When was the last time you watched a movie? Can you break down the plot to a sentence or two?

Let's try, something interrupts a person's life and challenges them. A life setback (lost boy/girlfriend), a health concern (cancer/loss of limb), apocalyptic event (earthquake/alien invasion) hits the protagonist. Maybe there is a villain, or at least a protagonist causes trouble.

What makes most movies enjoyable is when the character overcomes the challenges and comes out a survivor, a winner.

Movies are fun, even inspiring, because they show us people who overcome.

The problem is, for most Americans, there is no real challenge or threat. Nothing is really an issue. Nothing is a real setback. We may try to elevate some simple issues to that level, but they really aren't.

Americans are spoiled and we act it.

There are less than 1% who serve in military. There is no awareness of anything common to that 1%.
There are less than 2% who live on a farm, or even come from a rural background. Only 19.3% of Americans live in rural communities.

So for most of America there is no connection to what many of us take for granted. We are connected with the land. We live on it. We grow food in it. We dig and drill resources out of it. We care for it.

There is no connection to danger. There are very few who get in a fight in school. Zero tolerance has made a nation of weakness. Someone is always going to step in and save your butt. Or we have the examples of children who aren't taught to live with internal strength, aren't taught to ignore others, and who harm themselves.

There are few Americans who step in to physically help others. Few who stand between others and a bully. Few who experience being hit in a fight, being threatened, shot at, or who have felt their lives at risk.

All of these safety nets, have left a nation of weakness. A nation full of people who's only relation to life is the little they take from others who they've seen do something spectacular.

Most importantly, we don't celebrate failure within a valiant attempt. We barely tolerate it. We want winners, but we ignore what they had to do to get there.

Think about what it is that we really get behind. It's winners. That's it. If someone doesn't win, they're ignored. Even ridiculed. There is no acknowledgement that the silver and bronze medalists probably worked just as hard as the gold medalist.

There is no honor in hard work. No humble life lived well. No simple pleasures. We all want more from life, and many think we deserve it. We don't

We, Americans, already do get more from life. When we talk of privilege, you have it. Compared with the current world, you are a winner of exponential value over others. If we were to include your status vs historical examples of average folk, we would be embarrassingly blessed with so much that our lowest, would be considered opulence.

Over 14% work in federal, state, and local government.
Only 4.31% work in manufacturing.
Service industries account for over 80% of our nation. That does include government.

Do you see the issue?
Most of us don't make anything. Don't produce anything. Don't protect us. Know nothing of a fight. Know nothing of life and death.

We're removed from the land. That happened during the Industrial Revolution and post WWI & WWII. But now we're even removed from producing goods, and protecting ourselves.

Most have no idea of what's involved to grow anything.
Most have no idea of what's involved to mine iron ore, or to drill for oil or natural gas.
You don't have callouses. You don't have dirt under your nails. You don't have bruises, or a bloody nose.

You don't know what Lava soap, or pumice is. You wash your hands with anti-bacterial soap that smells of lilacs. You've never had to scrub to get the dirt and grease from your hands.

Your boots, if you own any, are designer, or at least a knockoff. They were not bought for their ability to drop a tree on and save your toes. You don't understand the need for non-slip soles.

Most importantly, you're removed from God. You don't see his work. Everything is delivered to you, by UPS, USPS, Fedex, or Amazon. The world comes to your door. You need not venture out and raise your own food, even though your lawn could probably keep your family in vegetables, and possibly eggs and meat.

Your life is great, but you think it's not. You, my dear American, are spoiled. You've forgotten that life is precious and fleeting. Why? Well, for you it's not. You're protected and safe. Well fed and well provided for.

So we're left with most Americans who are so disconnected from the realities of life they take it for granted. When we have a "pandemic" they look for someone else to prevent their own illness, and to solve the problem. They want more than they have, and think it's a desperate need.

Our real issue is the further we're away from seeing how things happen, how they work, how they're made, the further we are from understanding how fortunate we are.

A chicken egg is pretty easy to buy and cook, but there's a lot to the process of getting that egg from the chicken and to your store.

So we're left with a huge population that never thinks of these things. Not once. There are people who will live their entire life with no clue of how food, fuel, or fiber are produced. With no clue of how an internal combustion engine works. Who won't take the time to understand why their lights and internet work.

All of this comes back to thanking God for our abundance of blessings. It comes back to having "Non-Slip Souls". Where we dedicate our lives to living for God's purpose with thankfulness for the chance.

Why?

Because none of this is ours. None of it will be going with us. And none of it will be here if we continue to ignore the basic facts of what life is built upon.

I hear so many say, "trust the science, follow the science". Yet I see so few who actually do, and realize that science shows us that the miracles of life are in front of us daily.

So get your spoiled lazy butt out and learn about life. Learn about America. Learn about how our ancestors lived. Learn about what being in a physical fight for your life feels like. Learn what a punch to your jaw is. Learn what so few do today.

Don't let your soul slip into the world where everyone takes life for granted. It may seem so safe and secure, but some of us know how fleeting, how at risk, how in danger, and how precious it is.

You will find a greater blessing than you can imagine when you start to see God's work in life, and in others. You'll understand those movies where Good prevailed over Evil. And you'll live with so much more awareness that the world will become an even greater blessing and amazement for you.

I am thankful for being raised on a farm, for living in a rural community, for learning how things work, for dirty hands, for bruises, for bloody noses, for knowing what a punch feels like to give and take, and for understanding how close life and death are to each other. I give thanks to God for all of it and hope to never lose my amazement and awe of all that God is.

Alike In Our Differences

We talk so much about race. Why? Because it's easy to see. Humans judge others by their differences. Not only race, but any difference can be divisive.

The truth is most Americans are more likely to judge a person by their dress, the car they drive, or how much money they have than their race or religion. We've become a nation full of success and comfort. Even those who consider themselves poor, would be considered wealthy in many nations.

We're more likely to judge someone who looks like the man shown here than someone else.

It is true there are those who live outside of society's tolerances. They don't fit in.
They are viewed as less valuable.
And they all have a story.

Some are fairly common. Bad choices. Following a path of destruction. Hiding in a bottle, or needle.

Others are not as easily gleaned from the outside. Inner demons. Chemical imbalances. Mental, and emotional challenges. These take more time to dig out.

We lock our doors, check our wallets, and sometimes cross the street to avoid them. For our own safety these are legitimate reactions. For those left on the other side of the street it's not so clear. What can we do?

First we can acknowledge that there is no solution to this. There have been people of this group since the beginning of time. Sometimes they choose to. Some are more comfortable living out of society's gaze.

After that, we can look at what keeps some there. Most who work with homeless, or at least those on society's fringe, will tell you there is not always acknowledgement that there's anything wrong. We think it's only logical they would want to get out of their living conditions, but that's often not true. Many just want to be left alone. They may want food and shelter when forced to it, but not always.

Even in these statements I'm exposing bias and bigotry. Who am I to determine what the fringe of society is? Why should I discuss those who live differently? Am I not practicing my own bigotry? I know I am. I think a lot of you share it.

As disturbing as this sounds, it's necessary for us to start from that understanding. That we are judging. That we are trying to assert our view on others. If we ignore it, we are not honoring them as humans.

The real point I'm trying to make is society, humans, all of us, judge others. That's just a fact. We judge based upon what we know, what's common to us. If we lived in a community full of red headed men and women, and someone with dark hair came to town, they'd be noticed. The same for any other thing that is different. The more obvious, the more likely more people notice it.

So when we start looking for what we think makes others bad people, bigoted, racist, and judgmental. Remember that it's not different from why we judge others.

Maybe that's not you. Maybe you judge no one. I've not met that person, but I guess they could be out there. Until I meet them I'm going to use what's common to me and assume everyone has some judgment in them. That we all have our common, and uncommon.

But that seems to be me judging everyone based upon my own experience and common experiences. Just like I said we all do.

Maybe the best place to start is to admit it.

Maybe then we can start to talk about what makes us alike, as much as we talk about what makes us different. Maybe then we can not look down on those who live differently, but strive to understand and help how we can, and only if it's wanted.

If we can do that, then race, religion, and our other differences will come along. When we admit our shared bias, we realize how alike we really are.

Have you seen media spreading this?
I have. All over the media.
It's intended to convey that the Joint Chief's are somehow expecting something from Trump folk.
The truth is that's a bunch of bull and spin.
This explains that.
I pray that more people will read more detailed reports like this.
I hope you'll dump mainstream media, or at the very least dig a lot deeper than you have been for the past few years.

A tractor forum I'm in found out that Facebook considers the two word version of "backhoe" as abusive and hate speech.
Yes, you read that right. The one word version is ok, but if you split it up, boy howdy.

How much do we really trust these idiots to get anything right.
Let's test it.

Many of us who actually know officers, knew this was true.
But it doesn't fit the narrative and cuts into the power and profit of activists, politicians, and media.

It's been a bit since we've posted. Today as I watch the spin of the actions from January 6th I'm physically ill. My stomach turns with every attempt to make it into something it wasn't. It's disgusting.

Democrats and media, even some republicans, are trying to make it all about Trump. Shame on those doing it for gain, and shame on those too lazy or stupid to look deeper. The truth is too important to ignore. But most do.

The nation is polarized. Democrats and media spin up their cult and tell them what to think, who to hate, who to attack, who to cancel. Then they wonder why so many are deeply concerned, troubled, and angry at this. They know they may be next.

The democrat and media complicity in attacking any who disagree has risen to an insane level. Media of all types are full of liberals who relish the attention of the mob. They want the eyes on them.

So here we are after the US Capitol was entered by protesters that turned into rioters. By people who showed no respect for the building or occupants.

But why?

Why are so many so upset?

These are not people stirred up by media. There is arguably one media outlet that sometimes speaks to them, and that is questionable. FoxNews is not the conservative bastion it's tagged as.

So we ask what motivates people to come to Washington DC and protest, then some go to enter the Capitol? These are Americans. They committed crimes. They should be punished.

So should every rioter, looter, arsonist, assaulter, or murderer who committed a crime while acting in the name of blm or antifa. That's where part of the problem and anger comes in. We've had years of violence dismissed as protests, or "mostly peaceful protests". All of it was met with silence or even support from democrats and media. Stories were about justification, not condemnation.

There is a double standard and much of America feels isolated and forgotten. Donald Trump listened to those citizens and did what they asked. Let's say that again. Donald Trump listened to those citizens and did what they asked. It was driven by citizens, voters, Americans, just normal people.

Maybe that's the problem. Donald Trump took the power out of Washington DC and gave it back to those voters, all citizens, and the states. That's where the real issue is. Donald Trump didn't comply with DC's agenda. It's not Democrat and Republican. It's the Political Class, the Elites, and everyone else.

Donald Trump bypassed media, discarded the political cronyism, and went straight to the people. He was honest about his actions and beliefs. Usually to a fault. He spoke too much so as to give his haters fuel. He wasn't eloquent and polite. And he was an easy target.

It was this continual situation, perpetual attacks, that brought us here. Trump was attacked constantly. All while he kept reducing the size and scope of government. Which was what those voters wanted.

Remember them? Easy to forget aren't they? They're us. Donald Trump served us. Yes, he can be a pompous arrogant jerk, but he never forgot his job was to serve and do as we asked.

So today we hear the same blabbering fools telling us how to think. They've locked the President out of Twitter and Facebook. It's an echo chamber of blame thrown at Trump. And they're all fools.

It was never about Trump. As long as we ignore all of those people who Trump listened to, we are going to be at odds, possibly at war, with each other. That's not acceptable.

I lay the blame at the feet of Politicians and Media As Usual. A decidedly unique group that does a lot of inbreeding. They keep it in the family. What a disgusting lot.

They are in officer for power and profit. There is zero doubt about their agenda, except they convince their faithful that they mean something else. They convince their sheep that they care.

Government has become a self-sustaining entity. It exists to survive, and it survives to exist. We have few representatives in Washington. Most are caught by the Machine and chewed up. To stay in office they need power and control. To get power and control they have to keep the masses at odds with each other.

If we ever start thinking about what happens we would kick all of the bums out. But instead they keep us divided, blaming, and attacking each other. We're fools.

I am thankful for Donald Trump. I didn't like the guy, and sometimes I still don't. But he exposed Washington DC, politicians, and media for what they really are. For that I am thankful.

God help us if we don't wake up, but instead fall back into the division and hate.

So this guy, Richard Pilger, just quit DOJ. Media plays it like it's a big deal and some sort of moral issue.
Do you remember the name Richard Pilger?
How about from 2014 and the IRS/DOJ targeting of conservatives?
The guy in charge of voting fraud, was previously outed as a partisan hack targeting conservative groups in collusion with the DOJ and IRS under Obama.
Think about that for a bit and try and justify it. Just try it.
The rats don't really leave the ship. They just shuffle around it and hide. They know it's not sinking. They're just making it unlivable for anyone but the rats.
Here's two links to two stories. There's a lot more. Do yourself a favor and dig deeper America. They're scum.
