Are you battle weary? You feel like darts are flying all around you? You may even feel tempted to give up? We all get there. But you’re not in the fight alone.

“Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes…” Ephesians 6:10

If you’re trying to fight on your own, it can get exhausting. God understands your battle. He knows the enemy, and He knows the weight that you’re carrying. He fights with you and for you. He is your strength. And He also gives you weapons for the fight.

Read Ephesians 6 and ask God to fully equip you for the battle. Weariness happens. But so does victory, because the weapons we use are God-given.

Stand firm. Pray. And know that God is on your side. – Sandi

It is so easy to drift into the negative, snarky, cancel culture around us. My heart drifts as well. Then God challenges me with this truth:

“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up…
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as Christ forgave you.”
Ephesians 4:29,32

Not every thought in my mind is wholesome. Not every word that I speak is helpful. It is easier to tear someone down and hold a grudge rather than forgive and build them up. That is why we need Jesus.

The evidence of God’s grace in our lives…changes things. Our thoughts, words, and actions. That is how the world will see Jesus in us. Or not.

I’m asking God to change my heart. Forgive me so I can readily forgive others. And season my words with the same grace that I receive from Him.

What would it look like if we choose to forgive…build each other up and be kind and compassionate? It would look like the heart of Jesus. - Sandi

Does life ever feel humdrum? Maybe you feel numb, like you’re going through the motions, but the fire has gone out? Maybe you feel stuck? Or spiritually dry?

“I will put my Spirit in you, and you will live…” Ezekiel 37:14

God spoke those words to people who were already living. But they were not fully alive. Does that ring true for you? There is a difference between breathing and being fully alive. And God is at the root of both.

He is the author of life, giving breath to your lungs. But He also invites you to become fully alive, by His Spirit living in and through you.

Don’t settle for humdrum. Or numb. God wants to breathe new life into you today. Then, you will live, really live. – Sandi

Who are you…really? On any given day, our emotions, or the mirror, may weigh in on how we think or feel about ourselves. But what is the truth about your identity and purpose? Who are you?

“We are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10

You are God’s design. I’ve heard that the Greek root word for “workmanship” is “poeme.” It is where we get the word poem. What a picture. You are like a poem that God has uniquely handcrafted. Beautifully. Intentionally. Like a work of art. With purpose.

There’s no greater joy than knowing your purpose and your creator. It is when life begins to make sense. The poem rings true. And you see the good. May you get a glimpse of your God-given purpose today and step into the good that He has for you. – Sandi

God has you right where He wants you. What if that is true? That doesn’t mean that everything in your life is perfect or comfortable. But, what if there are reasons, that only God knows, why you are here?

“Who knows, but that you have come to this position for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14

So many times in scripture, God used unlikely people to do uncommon things to bring about unbelievable Kingdom work. He stepped into unlikely, impossible situations and turned everything around. And He often used very ordinary, faithful people.

God is still working. And He may have you right where you are. What may He want to do through you in your family or workplace? Does it seem unlikely or uncomfortable? What if you are exactly where He wants you to be? For such a time as this? He can still work, through you, right where you are. - Sandi

Jesus says that these two things are most important to Him and required for us:

We MUST love God. 2. We MUST love each other.
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind. And Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:37-39

It is easy to view loving God as something spiritual and loving people as something optional. But that isn’t the truth of scripture. Jesus commanded and requires both.

I pray that God increases our capacity to love today. May we love Him well, but not stop there. Loving God and loving people… may that be our heart’s desire because it is the desire of His heart. – Sandi

What do you do when you get to the end of yourself? When you simply don’t know what else to do? I usually have a good cry. Call a friend. Or go into “figure it out and fix it” mode. But there’s a better way.

“We don’t know what to do, but our eyes are upon you.” 2 Chronicles 20:12

Such a simple response to uncertainty. When I don’t know the answer, I will keep my eyes on the One who does.

Chances are, you’re dealing with something that seems beyond your ability to figure out or control. What are you going to do? Why not press pause and keep your gaze on God. You’ll be right where He wants you when He reveals the next step. God, we don’t know what to do, but we are looking to you, alone, today! - Sandi

You are the ONE that God loves. It is easy to think of ourselves as insignificant or invisible to God. But Jesus was often drawn to the “lesser” ones: the children, the lepers, the outcast. He is always responding to the ONE in need….to you, when you feel lost.

“If a man owns a hundred sheep and one wanders away, will He not leave the ninety-nine and go look for the one? Matthew 18:12

At one point, you were the lost ONE. Maybe you still are. Either way, you are the ONE that God loves. Today. Forever. I hope that encourages you the next time you feel invisible or forgotten.

God left heaven to find you and bring you home. He will always seek you out. You are the one that He loves. – Sandi
