L’Ambassade rouvrira le vendredi 26 décembre aux horaires habituels.

Effective January 1, 2026, at 12:01 a.m. EST, in line with Presidential Proclamation 10998 on “Restricting and Limiting the Entry of Foreign Nationals to Protect the Security of the United States,” the Department of State is partially suspending visa issuance to nationals of 19 countries – Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Benin, Burundi, Cote D’Ivoire, Cuba, Dominica, Gabon, The Gambia, Malawi, Mauritania, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, Togo, Tonga, Venezuela, Zambia, and Zimbabwe – for nonimmigrant B-1/B-2 visitor visas and F, M, J student and exchange visitor visas, and all immigrant visas with limited exceptions for:

•Immigrant visas for ethnic and religious minorities facing persecution in Iran
•Dual nationals applying with a passport of a nationality not subject to a suspension
•Special Immigrant Visas (SIVs) for U.S. government employees under 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(27)(D)
•Participants in certain major sporting events
•Lawful Permanent Residents (LPRs)

It is your responsibility to use your visa correctly.
Some activities that ARE ALLOWED on a B1/B2 visitor visa:
✅ Tourism
✅ Vacation (holiday)
✅ Shopping
✅ Visiting with friends or relatives
✅ Meetings with business associates
✅ Attending a convention or conference
Activities NOT ALLOWED on a B1/B2 visitor visa:
❌ Birth tourism (travel for the primary purpose of giving birth in the United States to obtain U.S. citizenship for the child)
❌ Work that results in payment from a U.S. employer or business
❌ Studying for a degree or academic credit
❌ Paid performances

USA/Deuil: Une jeune Ivoirienne de 27 ans décède, la communauté se mobilise

Aux États-Unis, le décès le 18 Novembre dernier, de Rose Affoue Yao, plonge la communauté Ivoirienne dans la consternation. Âgée de 27 ans, cette jeune femme laisse derrière elle un gosse de 6 ans. En solidarité à sa famille, ses compatriotes se mobilisent afin de lui organiser des obsèques à la hauteur du souvenir que ses proches gardent d'elles. Une collecte de fonds est actuellement en cours avec pour objectif de mobiliser 3500 dollars. Des fonds qui seront reversés intégralement à sa famille.
