The Fisher J. Price recordings were made nearly 30 years ago, yet sound oddly appropriate for this strange time in human history. The eponymously titled vinyl album of compiled tracks, and it’s cassette only “Thriftcore” companion release available here:

These songs were recorded in the Mojave desert in the late nineties / early aughts. One track (American Way) was a field recording made at our favorite thrift store. The balance were tracked at my home at 805 W. Ave J-6 by myself, Markly Morrison, The Yishmit Rakorsky (RIP), and Devin Ray.

We recently released a six track archival vinyl E.P. of FJP songs on our BrownInteriourMusic imprint, but these cassette masters surfaced shortly after. Some of my favorite stuff is here!…both this cassette and the vinyl are available at:
