Hunger hides at home. And often, we never see it.

Here in the Parkland, hundreds of students rely on school backpack programs to make it through the weekend — and this isn’t just here. Food insecurity is one of the fastest-growing challenges in our country.

It’s quiet. It’s heavy. And most of the time, it’s invisible.

This month, we sat down with the leaders behind Farmington R-7’s local backpack program to talk about what they’re seeing, what’s changing, and why their work matters now more than ever.

Jackson had his monthly clinic appointment this morning. All of his labs look good! Also, his appointment with GI went well on Tuesday! He doesn’t have to have another liver ultrasound until June of next year! So all around good news for him! 🧡🎗️

We’re looking for one boy and one girl (ages 4+) to participate in a fun photoshoot this Wednesday at 10:45 AM at Farmington Walmart!

This shoot is in collaboration with Parkland City Lifestyle and will highlight a festive local shopping experience.

🎁 In exchange for their time, each participant will receive a $50 Walmart gift card — to be used during the shoot!
