Not long ago, the Deeplands were unknown to you.
In the short time you’ve been here, you’ve learned enough to survive… to quiet your steps, to watch the shadows, to feel the weight of the world pressing in above you.
You know you are not alone down there. You know you are seen.
But knowing that much is not the same as understanding.
Now, we descend further, called deeper into a place where the living network of the earth pulses stronger, stranger, and far more aware of your presence. Those who dwell within it have begun to form opinions about the people from above.
Some may guide you, if you are willing to listen.
Others are watching with purposes you cannot yet see.
And something has begun to change.
Paths feel less certain.
Barriers feel thinner.
What once seemed contained no longer feels secure.
You have learned just enough to be dangerous.
But not enough to be safe.
And the Deeplands are starting to notice the difference.
