My kids did a phenomenal job in the West Side MBC kids Easter play! 🙌🏽 All those nights I didn’t feel like taking them to rehearsal while I was tired—I’m so grateful I did. Reggie had a solo, the girls’ dances were beautiful, and I’m just overwhelmed with gratitude. God has truly blessed us with the opportunity to raise our kids in the church.

Happy 314 Day! 🏀💛💙

I’ve been moving through these St. Louis streets for a long time. From The Limelight to The Palace, Saints to Incahoots, The Mono to The Ox, Club Dreams to The Onyx, Midwest Rec Center to Club Legit etc, In every spot, Rams jersey on backwards, Girbaud’s sagging, Air Forces on, knuckin’ if you buckin’, you or leaning and snapping (even though I never could do the Mono 🤦🏾‍♂️).

I wasn’t even old enough to be in some of these places—but money talks and I had access. I saw the ins and outs of my city from a young age. Grew up in Normandy, hitting Crestwood & Northwest Plaza on the bus, spent hours in Tilt, and posted up at Union Station movies trying to hop down on whoever caught my eye.

And Chinese Food (I used to call it chinaman until I found out that was racist)! 🍜 If you know, you know—Northland Chinese Food still holds a top spot, even though Northland ain’t Northland nomo. North Oaks still got the best Imo’s in my book. And if you ain’t been to N. Oak Bowling Alley, you missed an era.

I’ve moved and shook all over North, West, South, and East STL—from my early days before I was even off the porch to now having a voice on BOOST 95.5, offering encouragement and hope to the same city that could’ve swallowed me whole.

If you look at me today, you might not recognize the old me. But I praise God for growth and progress. 🙌🏾
