I cannot take credit for these words but I feel them in my soul
There is a part of every bag nobody will ever praise.
Nobody will ask about it.
Nobody will take a picture of it.
Nobody may even know it exists.
But sometimes, that hidden part is the reason the bag will survive.
Funny enough, I have spent more time worrying about parts of a bag that nobody will ever see than the parts everybody will eventually admire.
The reinforcement.
The stitching underneath.
The areas carrying the real pressure.
The small details hidden behind all the beauty.
And sometimes, while working, I just laugh.
Because life is somehow like that too.
People will admire the finished result.
They will say, “Wow! This is beautiful.”
But they may never know what had to be strengthened in secret before it could stand in public.
Maybe that is why I respect good craftsmanship.
The most important work is not always the part people can see.
Some beauty survives because somebody took the hidden parts seriously.
And as a Bagsmith...
I know exactly what that means
