Happy Mother’s Day to all mamas and those who have been serving in the role as such. It is a beast of a job, but can also be the most rewarding. Closing out Mother’s Day with my favorites 💕 I also took a walk, a nap and a bath at my little’s advice (she is such a natural caregiver) and insisted I relax today. I was like, you’re right! She knows me well!

23 years ago I joined the Air Force and shipped out to Lackland Air Force Base fresh out of high school! I did this like so many before me, because I wanted to serve my country and gain direction in life! So I deferred my enrollment to college for one year, became a flight medic and EMT and once basic, technical school and a a lot of on-the-job training, I concluded undergrad and grad school concurrently drilling every other weekend to support our mission at the time (I joined RIGHT after 9/11)…..

This gave me immense life experience and an absolute sense of self and of service, and I literally learned how to be an adult (seriously I did not know how to do laundry or boil water, thanks mom 😝) so I knew I this is where I’d learn. It had been the best decision of my life and I would not be where I am today without that experience. I’m so thankful to the amazing mentors I had all from way from staff sergeants full bird colonels along the way. The rest is literally history and I’m just so thankful for it all. to all of us with hope, that the future of our country will work out if we work for it to ♥️ 💙 🤍🇺🇸

St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness (SLOCA) is committed to raising awareness of the impact of survivorship by promoting awareness of the early warning signs and standards of care, funding research and supporting survivors.

teamed up with to advance this critical mission promoting this delicious to help us prioritize wellness and set ourselves up to live long, joyful lives. All locations will donate $1 from every back to SLOCA for 1 week & Smoothie (September 30 - October 6) so go get yours! It’s delicious and good for you!

Know the signs of Ovarian Cancer!
• Bloating
• Pelvic or Abdominal Pain
• Urinary Urgency or Frequency
• Difficulty Eating or Feeling Full Quickly

Consider discussing genetic testing with your doctor should your symptoms persist!

SLOCA encourages individuals to explore their family history as an important first-step in understanding their personal risk for ovarian cancer. This proactive approach can provide valuable insights for early detection and prevention. If appropriate, you might also consider discussing genetic testing with your physician for further evaluation.

Some stats: Did you know roughly 25,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year. Worldwide, more than 239,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer annually and more than 200 women are diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in . Every year.

The campaign culminates with SLOCA’s annual Families Run for Ovarian Cancer 5K and 1-Mile Run/Walk on October 13, where will offer complimentary juice samples to runners and I will be there with the family! Come run walk with me 💕🩵 while we bring awareness to this very important cause!
