Auntie Gigi and Nephew CEO had the BEST time filming, and we cannot wait to show y’all the incredible footage we captured! 😂💚 But this trip meant so much more to both of us than we expected.
We’re finally in a place mentally where we feel ready for the next step in our journey—and clearer about the message we want to share.
Sitting with Nephew’s mom and Granny, hearing about their culture, their younger years, and how their generations see the world truly spoke to me. Those conversations helped me understand more deeply why their community appreciates what Nephew and I are doing. There is so much you can learn when you take the time to listen and be openminded. ❤️
Then, talking with people during during our live and hearing from parents raising children with Tourette’s really hit home. Knowing they look up to us, that we’re helping kids who face bullying feel accepted, and that their parents feel supported too… that means more than I can put into words.
We started sharing because we connected so naturally and thought our shenanigans were funny as hell. This trip helped us both realize just how much that connection means to other people.
And something else became clear: Nephew and I share so much of the same foundation-the same values, the same heart, and the same belief in treating people like people.
Auntie is still 100% Auntie. Nephew is still 100% Nephew. Neither of us has had to change who we are to fit into the other’s culture. We’ve made room for each other exactly as we are, while learning from one another.
That’s the heart of what we want to show the world. Different backgrounds. Shared values. A friendship where both people get to be fully themselves.
We’ve got plenty of laughs coming your way and a whole lot of purpose behind them. 💚
