Wanted to provide an update to everyone.

Judge Wilson (that’s so awesome to type) has granted the defense motion to reschedule the trial and has set a pretrial scheduling hearing for March 18, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. At that hearing, both parties will report to the court and discuss how the case will proceed moving forward.

During this delay, the court also ordered that the speedy trial time be tolled, meaning the clock is paused while scheduling issues are worked out.

Congratulations to Aaron Spencer, the Republican nominee for Lonoke County Sheriff, after earning 5,400 votes (54%) in tonight’s primary.

The people of Lonoke County are ready for strong leadership and a renewed commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability in the Sheriff’s Office. This victory shows that voters believe Aaron Spencer is the right person to restore trust in the position and lead the department forward.

The work isn’t finished yet, but last night was an important step toward bringing the leadership our county deserves.
