Dos contextos distintos. Dos realidades marcadas por cambios y desafíos, pero una misma capacidad de transformar la adversidad en propósito.

Desde Venezuela, el arte y la caricatura se convierten en una forma de retratar las tensiones sociales y contar historias a través de la creatividad. Desde Perú, la decisión de migrar y empezar de cero en Estados Unidos representa el desafío de adaptarse, reconstruirse y perseguir nuevos sueños lejos del hogar.

Aunque sus caminos fueron diferentes, ambos comparten la resiliencia de continuar incluso cuando el camino parece difícil.

Two different contexts. Two realities shaped by change and challenges, yet connected by the same ability to transform adversity into purpose.

From Venezuela, art and caricature become a way to portray social tensions and tell stories through creativity. From Peru, the decision to migrate and start over in the United States represents the challenge of adapting, rebuilding and pursuing new dreams far from home.

Although their journeys were different, both share the resilience to keep moving forward even when the road seems difficult.

This June 7th, the Peruvian community has a crucial date in the presidential runoff election. Exercising our right to vote is the best way to connect with our roots and continue being an active part of Peru's history, no matter where we are.
At LatinColors, we support and encourage the participation of the entire Peruvian community in Connecticut. We want your experience to be easy and for you to be prepared for this day:
Get informed and ready: Have your ID ready and plan your schedule to avoid any issues.
Find your polling place: Scan the QR code to verify your polling location, like in Hartford, and learn all the necessary details.
Spread the word: Help us inform more Peruvians. Save this post and share it with your contacts in the region.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Kathy L. Chartier, a remarkable leader, advocate, and friend to our community. Kathy’s dedication to financial empowerment, inclusion, and service through Members Credit Union touched the lives of countless families across Connecticut.

As part of the cover of edition #28 of Latincolors Magazine, Kathy Chartier represented the kind of leadership we proudly celebrate - compassionate, visionary, and deeply committed to uplifting others. Her work created opportunities for many immigrant and underserved communities, leaving a lasting impact that will not be forgotten.

On behalf of the Latincolors Magazine family, we extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, colleagues, and everyone at Members Credit Union. Her legacy of kindness, service, and community empowerment will continue to inspire us all.
