Apparently I started the Pre-Pregnancy Pants Project, completely forgot about it, and then actually made progress. 😂

But today… THEY BUTTONED. AND ZIPPED. 👖🙌

A couple months ago these jeans were approximately ¾ of a mile away from buttoning. Today they button AND zip.

Can I sit down in them? Absolutely not. These are currently standing jeans. 😂 But we’re counting the wins over here.

And honestly, this feels SO much better than obsessing over the number on the scale.

I’m over 30. I’m a mom. I’m busy. Some days I’m crushing a workout and other days I’m just trying to keep a tiny human alive.

So my goal right now isn’t perfection. It’s consistency.

Showing up for myself. Moving my body. Getting stronger. Taking care of my mental and physical health. And slowly rebuilding a relationship with my body after pregnancy and motherhood.

And having my absolute best friend, Iva, right there with me makes these little moments even sweeter. 🥹❤️

The pants are zipping. I’m feeling stronger. I’m feeling better. And I’m REALLY excited about the progress.

We’re not chasing perfection over here. We’re just showing up.

TMI… but we’re friends right?

I’m thrilled to have less discomfort in my joints. How freaking cool is that?! And I know the joint pain wasn’t weight related, so has to be swelling and fluid. My energy has improved, sleep has improved, overall I’m feeling much better and am so excited about this process.

I’m less hyped on chicken salad. But can confirm Charles takes his “sickness and health” vow very seriously. 🫠

The journey back to yourself is worth it. Fight for yourself. Invest in yourself. You are worth it. You are loved.

Postpartum depression and anxiety changed a lot for me. I lost friends, I lost myself, I hit my lowest point… while also being at my highest. So in love with this perfect baby but filled with fear and dread that something bad was going to happen.

But I found a way to keep going. Because I had to. I leaned of Christ, I listened to His voice above my own. I learned to value myself again, I learned to only let certain people into my life, I learned to ask for help, I learned to let go, I learned that I am worth it.

So, no. I didn’t handle it well… you just didn’t now how much I was struggling. And that’s not unique. So many women struggle and suffer in silence. Let’s stop that. We are in this together. 💕

I say all this so hopefully ONE woman sees that she is worth it, she deserves to feel like herself again and that she CAN find herself again.
